Calico Mine refurb
« on: June 13, 2014, 07:02:47 AM »
Knott's Berry farm just dropped a load of money to redo the Calico Mine ride.  Not a thrill ride but a fun dark ride that the Cedar Fair parks decided was important enough to keep around and sink some serious cash in.  I would love to see SDC follow suit with some love to 3 of our parks rides.
I wont even mention what rides I am referring too because that would be rehash.  You may however guess.

Nice job.  I'm glad they recognized the importance of retaining the heritage of the park.  At this moment, I can't remember the names of the three rides to which you refer.

BTW, why is the guy in the video squirting his water hose at the waterfall???

Miners would shoot water out of hoses and water cannons to loosen the soil and rocks so it would run off to the sluice. There is a term for this but I cannot remember it right now. I think that is what they are trying to mimic in that scene.

I would love for Garner Holt to come in and have free reign on our 3 classic dark ride attractions -- for that matter add a 4th one in the little used Carousel Barn themed to Tom Sawyer.
