I was in the park the morning after a HUGE ice storm, and there were only a few others in the park...amazing trip! Glad they are looking out for their workers/patrons.

The old timers said not in recent memory. Last year they opened one section at a time as we cleared the snow.

"Parks closed today, folks.  The moose Christmas wreath out front should have told ya."  ;)

Though my sympathies do go out to those who have plans to visit SDC today and this weekend.  We were planning on coming down this weekend--still are, but things aren't looking so hot.  The kids still want to come down to SDC this weekend even though they know they won't be able ride any rides.  Which says a lot about SDC, cause they certainly wouldn't want to go to 6-flags if the rides were closed, and that park is a whole lot closer to us.  Oh well, we'll just have to see what Mother Nature dishes out.

Tinker wound up just like a lot of old Christmas trees do, sunk with a concrete block in Table Rock Lake for a fish habitat! (Ha! Couldn't resist the joke! ;))

Tinker?  Took a wrong turn in life and joined the Killer Christmas Trees on Saturday Night Live.
