Most memorable moment of SDC 2012
« on: December 19, 2012, 08:33:17 PM »
I won't be around much next week to ask this question, so I suppose now is as good as ever.  Do you have a favorite memory or experience from this year?  I would have to say that mine would be going to World Fest.  This year was the first time I was able to go (darn teaching schedule!), and I truly loved everything about it - the music, food, shows - especially those crazy acrobats and - yes, those flag throwers in tights!  ;D Can't wait to do it again next year!!

...and the 5K!  I forgot to mention that one!  I've gone to it every year except the first one, but every year I have a better and better time!

Liked going on opening day for the first view of things for the season. Loved taking two more of my grandkids this year for their first trips ever to the park. Enjoyed Christmas Carol and Wonderful Life at OTC last Friday. Have enjoyed watching Outlaw Run go up, and am excited about seeing it in operation in the spring. Also had short, but nice visits with some of my old buddies from my years working there, Terry Sanders and Kerry Chester.

My wife and I went on a last minute roadtrip to eureka springs, we had seen all that eureka had to offer very quickly. We had season passes for sdc so we went for it.  It had been blazing hot all summer, but a storm came through and cooled everybody off. My wife and I escaped the rain in one of the resteraunts.  It was great.  I love SDC.

SDC nut, I agree with your post.  I guess the most fun I have had (for a long while anyway) is in the spring (2012) the wife and I took an extra couple days off work (for our 25th anniversary) and spent the 4 days at SDC. Well it rained one of those days. I know it sounds like we may be lunatics, but that rainy day was simply a blast.  I mean we had just tons of fun.

Son being tall enough to ride TNT and daughter getting a sense of direction in the park.

I think our early year trips were the best.
