Bluegrass and BBQ festival pictures from 5.17.08
« on: May 23, 2008, 11:56:42 PM »

We made it down to SDC for their Bluegrass and BBQ Festival last weekend.  While we did not really do the "bluegrass" portion of the festival, we sure did enjoy the BBQ part.

Here are photos from the actual festival

All that BBQ looks delicious. I hope I can make it down for the festival but it isn't looking likely.

Just nitpicking, I guess, but does it bother anyone else that gently is misspelled on the milk bucket?  Unless Gentley is the name of the cow (SQUEEZE GENTLEY), I don't think the misspelling was made on purpose.

What does it say on Gentley's udder now?  I don't remember any text there.

It looks like it might be graffiti, but I'm not sure.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make it for this festival either.  We'll be going during the Kids' Fest.

Wow, I had never noticed it was misspelled. I guess I'm not as observant as I once thought I was.

No, the cow's name is Genesis -- bonus points if you know WHY that is the cow's name.

^Is it because the milk originates from the cow?  (Lame, I know, but that's all I got).

Nope, Genesis was the lady in charge of overseeing the Research and Design of the entire Wilson's Farm area.  She was also very instrumental in the design of Mystery Mine as well... and is said to be in charge of Project 2009 at SDC

^Is that her name?  If so, is it her first or last name?

^That is a unique name. Well it sounds like she has a good recent history of projects under her belt so this is good news.

This is from the "old" MiG site, but it still works.

You can see her pic in Photo #5 and #6 from the Giant Swing Media Day last year.
