Woodcarving Seminar

If there is any woodcarvers here on the forum, the City of Neosho, Mo. is holding a Woodcarving Seminar on March 3-4. There will be two classes, Beginners class for anyone that has never carved before or wants some formal training, and Intermediate / Advanced class for someone that wants to learn from one of the best carvers around.


Beginners Class information (Gregg Thompson) $75.00

Students will need to bring with them:
Woodcarving glove
Thumb guard (optional but recommended)
Carving Knife (no pocket knives)
Pencil or Pen

Items provided by Instructor:

Instruction
Block of wood
Painting & Staining Items

Intermediate Class Information (Gerald Sears) $100.00

Students will need to bring:

Carving tools, assorted gouges and v-tools
Carving knive(s)
Woodcarving glove & any additional safety equipment they use
Pencil or Pen
Items provided by instructor:

Gerald's students will need to purchase their class project from the selection of rough-outs.  These rough outs vary in price from 17.00 to 25.00 each.
