I rode the new Tony Hawk ride at Six Flags and they had video cameras pointed at every rider in the middld of the cart. It is an awesome idea that they are incorporating video cameras now but, I wish i didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to safely get my roller coaster adventures on video.

haha, it probably will cost an arm and a leg.. it looked as if the four seats were covered by 2 cameras so if you have a group of four you would have to buy 2 videos... I am hoping that they will be able to edit them together.....
It also appeared that each row had cameras on it.

Amazing! About the Missouri statues... hmmm scary! Guess I'll quit taking my camera on the ride! lol

Also, I did call the park today and a few others.  I have friends that work at Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Texas as well as a friend in Disney.  They had no idea about the "black list" they seem to feel the same way I do - it's an urban legend.  What park has the man power or employees with a great memory to see when those "black listed" riders are coming on park?  So it appears that there is no list for SDC or the Six Flags parks I called or Disney.

^Ask Robb Alvey if there is a black list.  I'm sure that will pick a nerve with him since he is not allowed in some parks because he decided to video tape on some coasters.

Rob Alvey runs the famous themeparkreview.com. He spends much of his time traveling the world visiting theme parks and documenting them on film and photo, along with the antics of whatever random crew is with him at the time. He would be one to know about such a black list.

Whether such a thing exists or not though is beside the point. Like I said in the other thread, the basic point was that SDC doesn't allow filming on it's rides without special set-ups and permission. As we are fans, we obey the rules and discourage breaking them. That's all that needs to be said.

Just a side note:  I just watched the DVD that Disney sends to people planning to make a visit.  On it, a cast member gives camcorders to a bunch of kids and encourages them to record themselves at Walt Disney World.  The kids are then shown on many of the rides with camcorders in hand and scenes from the handheld cameras.  I doubt this is common practice at WDW, and figure it's against the rules there, too, but there it is - right on the DVD.  Anyway, it's against the rules and that's enough for me.  I find that the memories in my head are usually better than the video anyway.

^I'd imagine that WDW enforces their rules a little more about that than SDC does, with good reason. WDW has a lot more bratty kids and even adults running around the place.

I know for a fact that SDC doesn’t have a black list as some may say. They will however escort guests out of the park when a safety issue occurs. They will ask some not to return. The time I rremember this happening is when a young man tried to jump from a viewing area into a Lost River boat in which his family was riding. There have also been times when someone makes an obscene gesture to cameras on rides; they have escorted people out for that too. There are several other things too.

^Jumped from the viewing area into the boat? My gosh, why do people do such stupid things? Those are all issues other parks deal with also though. So is there any park that has a real black list even though SDC doesn't?

The "Black List" you all speak of has a lot to do with whatever internal programs an area say, like Guest Relations uses to keep track of Guests electronically.  I know WDW has this but not sure if SDC does.  This isn't to say even in this case that the park has any wherewithal to keep tabs on their return.

Now, if WDW ever calls in Law Enforcement (in guest-to-guest or guest-to-employee altercations), then a BOLO will be sent across property.  This is done sometimes with those scamming tickets or carrying counterfeit money.  In this case, there IS a master list of "black listed" people.

But as it was mentioned before, the parks themselves and the people who operate them are just that....people and cannot be everywhere at once.  If a park executive makes an official "don't come back" remark to someone though, you had better believe that this will be recorded electronically somewhere and will most likely never be expunged.

I wasn't sure so I had to look it up.  All I know is that we have used it at Disney for forever now.  Here is what I found:

BOLO is a term Law Enforcement Officers use to spread the word when they are out to catch the crooks and criminals running free harming our communities. The term BOLO stands for:“Be On Look Out”
