It appears that the new Ticketing Center and Front Gate are about ready to go.
Check out the update to see these new buildings at the front of White Water

Thanks for the pics, Swoosh!  I've been curious how this project has been coming along; nicely is the answer.  8)  Definitely much sleeker front gate and guest relations building.  Makes the entrance to the park a lot more appealing.

The front gate area is now complete --- a HUGE HUGE improvement over the old one

Very sweet; the signage change really wraps the area together. Speaking of the logo, what's with the bird in the old logo? Is he a forgotten park character?

As far as I know he has always been the park's mascot since the waterpark opened.  I cannot remember what his name is though.  They have a roaming character that comes out sometimes at the park

^I can't remember the bird's name either, but he's always been around, at least as far back as I can remember.  I've always associated White Water with that bird.  Check out this recent poster that I've attached below (click to enlarge).  That's the logo I'm familiar with.

As far as the new entrance is concerned, it's much more welcoming than the old one.  I agree with MIG--it's pushed out into the parking lot more so I wonder if expansion is in the works?

One of the original mascots used at White Water was a beaver.  I remember this vividly as I used to have a college-style White Water pennant on my wall as a kid with him on it.  He was splashing through the water on his tail if I remember correctly.

Alas, Ebay or internet searches come up with nothing, but I am pretty sure that he was there from day one.  Not sure if the bird was too, or came afterwards.

The bird's name is SPLASH!!!  And man, I haven't heard about the old beaver for a long, long time.

Splash is still the mascot, comes out on occasion.  It is crazy hot inside that suit.
