You could get your fix of taffy here...I'm guessing it is the same recipe

SDC would make a killing on merchandise with an off season store.

$6.00 lb at this site vs Dollywood's $8.00 lb. I know the idea of having the taffy you are used to is why someone would pay $2.00 more per lb to get the DW stuff in the off season. I am sure there is better Taffy than SDC, but the idea for me of taking a bag home is always in my head as having a part of the park, when I am not there-despite the fact that I am fully aware that the taffy is not even made on site! I am unsure if this is the supplier for SDC, some of the varieties are similar in look/ design, but there are a couple that do not match. Only one way to find out...Someone needs to buy some and do a side by side taste test.

I think junior, or maybe copper told us that part of the taffy is coming from a supplier in salt lake city..

I only found 2 websites for that.

.  I would like to find SDC's supplier..  for off season purchases...

oh well.. :-\

So what flavor would you use for "Fire in the Hole" taffy?  "Flooded Mine"?  "Lost River"?  "Giant Swing"?  "American Plunge"?

I don't know about a flavor, but Flooded Mine should be a white taffy base with Black Stripes (but it would end up looking like the black licorice which is not a hit with the kiddos)

They could rename the red/white red licorice to coencide with the targets (If you haven't seen them they are red/ white bullseye type designs/ spiral)

Every piece has a different level of heat as the cinnamon must be distributed unequally.  The same is true of Atomic Fireballs.

Taffy has been known to remove a filling or two - I can't allow myself to chew it.
