Astroworld

Does anyone else remember Astroworld in Houston, Texas.  Especially the Days before it was bought out by Six Flags?  I have such fond memories of going there when I was a child, back in the 70's.  Marvel McFay, The Astrowheel, The Astroway, the Skyrama, The alpine sleigh ride, Lost World Adventure, The Wagon Wheel, Mill Pond, I could go on and on. Astroworld was such a unique amusement park.

I was a BIG Astroworld fan before it was purchased by Six Flags.  When I lived in South Louisiana, we took a trip to Houston when I was in the 8th grade for Beta Club.  Went to Astroworld, the zoo, the Galeria, a Houston Astros game in the Astrodome, and we took the Budweiser factory tour.   My senior trip was back to Houston for 2 days at Astroworld.  Loved it!!!

I didn't realize it closed.  I loved the Texas Cyclone coaster.
