At an antique store at Eureka Springs I saw an old GOLD MEDAL FLOUR sign from Sullivan's Mill on sale. In the past...last year...in the same shop I saw an ice cream parlor sign from SDC on sale.

Keith Shull,, one of the Juniors at the diving bell in '79 and '80, was also a performer at Rawhide. He still lives in Arizona.

The remote controlled boats did not stand up very well, as folks tended to run them into one another, and my pal Roger who ran the concession was constantly doing repairs to them with a glue gun. I remember pulling the little model obsticles in the water that atmospherd the boat area at the end of the '81 season. Me and Randy Stowe put them in the atmosphere barn and I never saw them again.

Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2015 Project

Thanks for the report, Swoosh. My thought is the project is GE2. Obviously several small family flat rides, and as we have heard before, return of balloon chase and the CC amusement. So, Rube Dugan theme, or what? The large area of gravel to me means alot of foundation work for pavement. Again, GE2. I understand their goal...several amusements at a relatively lower cost than something like the last coaster, with a high impact for guests, especially families with young kids. We shall see...I suppose an announcement in the fall sometime. Thanks again for the pictures.

OLD GUY!!!!! (John)  So glad you checked in! Altough you may not remember my real name...probably too many years...we have known each other since you did the Wally Welch Review at the Vineyard in '78. That's where I worked at the time. In '79 I was at the float trip, and '80 to '84 at the diving bell. Check out my flickr site for many old SDC photos:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/juniordugan    Regarding the contents of Mary's desk, consider the Ozarkana Collection at College of the Ozarks at Lyon Memorial Library or the Rrlph Foster Museum. I will also bluntly tell you if you want to to keep it together in a private collection I am interested in preserving it in my collection. I kept everything from my employment days. Please don't sell on ebay...it will be scattered and lost forever. I contribute on this site as JUNIOR (my desktop) and as JUNIOR, TOO (my notebook) so please review my posts. My Junior, Too profile here lists my email account. Feel free to email me. I make it to Branson several times a year and would love to visit in person some time. All best wishes, and God bless!

So if the park goes with the Dugan theme, as a promotional device, how many are in favor of a Junior Dugan reunion, say for 2015 media day, to promote the new area...and yes, I am shamelessly planting this in a vain attempt to put this in the minds of the PTB. I'd love to see some of the old crew together for a reunion! Fun times, ya had to be there...oh yeah, some of you were!

Since I became a member, I've been locked out of my account several times for weeks on end, and could not remember the password. I currently am locked out, so I created a new account to keep in touch. I am not tech savvy. So I wrote down the logon info for Junior, too! So until I can get back on to the main account when I remember the password, I will post here. You young folks can have a giggle on me! I still miss the IBM Selectric. If you don't know what that is you are under age 35. HA!
