General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: 2012 Trip Reviews
« on: July 31, 2012, 07:00:17 AM »
Have a great time, HowDo!  You know, I find that that I spend most of my time taking photos and not enough time really enjoying myself.  The last few times I've taken my phone only, and if there is something I really need to photograph, I go back the next day if possible.

Yep, I'm late for this date, also.  But, I don't want to know any more about it until the announcement next week; gives me something to look forward to whilst I wait to make my next trip to the park.

I rode the FITH last night and NOTHING was said. I had to say it myself...loud enough for the rest of the train to hear.

That's great!  Love it!!!

Branson Talk / Re: How is the Branson rebuild going?

It was pretty much totaled by the looks of it last time I was in Branson.  I heard awhile back that it was going to be torn down, but don't quote me on that.  I don't remember where that info came from.  It is an icon that I'd hate to see disappear solely because its "old Branson".  I haven't been in there in at least 25 years.

Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.

Trams, I was there last year not so much to ride rides, but just to walk around the park.  Lines were long, but the bummer was that food vendors were running out of food items and those lines were reallllllllllllllllly long.

Macaroni Grill was at the Landing, but they closed a year or so ago.

I know there are others that help you more than I can, but I can tell you that last year only a few food vendors were open.  And, yes, the rides were open (I remember most of them being open).  You'll have a great time.  I wish I could be there again this year.  I really enjoyed the evening time at the park.

Since when did Tie Dye get popular again? This isn't the mid 90s.

It came out of the closet again this year.  I teach school and kids from elementary to high school are into tie dye.  We were at the Farmer's Market this morning, and I think every other kid was wearing some sort of tie dye.

The tie dye sells because it's in style this year everywhere.  I don't like it either.  SDC does have some nice, heavy hoodies and t-shirts, but I don't want anything with tie dye or glitter! LOL  I want the plain old fashioned logo w/o the sparks flying.

I know. My mom rocked. We would all gather at my house and my mom would fire up the stang. We would put the top down and misbehave. It was so much fun. No responsiblity of driving. My mom was a hoot. She would condone mooning. Ha! So yes. I took mom cruising main and LOVED IT!

If I did that with my mom, she would have to drag my four siblings along, and she would have had pink curlers in her hair.  ;D  My grandmother, on the other hand, would have probably said, "Cathy, turn on the car radio and wait while I touch up my makeup and put on a new blouse!"   :D :D

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: SDC Times January 2012
« on: July 18, 2012, 08:21:16 PM »
I know I've said this before but it seems like it needs repeating. If you are listening SDC, like we hear you are, a very nice perk to the early season pass purchase would be a guaranteed delivery of each Times. It is very frustrating not to get one and I do use a lot of the coupons to buy things that I normally would not buy. So you are making money from this. Not only that, but I also use the one day coupons in addition to my BAF's. Once again, you are getting people in the park that would not normally go and they aren't drinking water and eating an apple they carried in with them either. Seems like this would be so simple to do, passholder=Times. Every time.

DITTO!

Yo!  I was so cool I made sure that I always sat on the passenger side of the car because you can't be seen if you're stuck in the back seat! ;D
