Random Talk / Day trip to Weston Mo.

We live in KC & have never been to the childhood home town of Buffalo Bill Cody. So we made the trip. Lots of little antique shops & neat stores & businesses. They also hold Festivals about every other month. Anyone ever been to Weston Mo.?

Random Talk / Ever had a Thanksgiving you just DIDN'T look forward to?

Saw this on 1Branson.com, thought it would make a good topic.
Any comments? Any bad stories? Here was my post.
   
I'll be blunt & honest..
Maybe this year if 1 of my brothers X-wifes comes up with her 2 over 25 year old grown up kids, & their 5-6 kids. It would add about 15 people to the dinner. I really doubt they make it because they will have to drive up from Florida, & take time off work. I dont see that happening.
Plus, our 2 daughters are not living "the greatest lives" right now. So it always consist of phone calls while we are eating. We remind them that is very rude & not to accept phone calls for a while, but that never happens.
My biggest complaint is everyone wants to leave an hour or so after dessert is served. I like to sit around & enjoy being with my family, my parents are 71 now, time to sit back & relax with them.
When i was doing hard drugs back in the 90s, eating was not easy.

All in all though, we usually have a good time. My dad dont mess around.

Just curious. When was the last time you did the cave tour? We did it last year. Of course, we have only been to SDC one time this year. I know you have heard me say that the cave gets no respect, & i understand why. I just wish there was more mention to it in commercials & adds when ever you see stuff about SDC. I always say that its the only amusement park that has a cave. Is there any other parks out there that have one?

Other Parks / Worlds of Fun Halloween Haunt

I dont know what to say.... That place was PACKED!! We watched the parade of monsters & headed to London Terror. We stood in that line, which was probably 50 yards past the que line, for about 30 minutes. We barely moved so we gave up on that one. It was between 8-9pm by then. Went to Corn Stalkers & it was even worse. We knew it was gunna be busy, but this was crazy ???It was a nice night weather wise. They were parking cars in the grass around the parking lots.

As many people as were there, & differant type of folks, i dont see how so many people would have the patience to wait that long for 1 attraction. If we would of stayed until they closed, i bet we would of gotten only 2 scary attractions in. Great for them, bad for us. I am not dogging the park or anyone else, i just dont have the patience for waiting THAT long. Call me weird, but thats the way it is. We gave up at 10:30 & went home. We did have 2 other people with us that were tired when they got there. I KNEW we should of went in September, but have had other stuff to do around the house.

Oh well, better luck next year i guess....

Did anyone see his Only In America show last night? He was in Branson checking out some of the shows, it was pretty good. He also visited Yakov Smirnoff. It was very touching. Call me slow, but, i did not know Yakov painted that big heart mural for ground zero, after 9-11. I have tried to find the episode on YouTube & this is all i could find. He is with the Baldknobbers.

I thought this was pretty funny, BUT, you would have to back ya'rself up to one of them crazy confrontational drivers. I wouldnt do it.... Tailgaters i just do the speed limit & dont look at'm, & just let'm go. I've had 2 situations in my life with crazy drivers.

Random Talk / Pineville trip

Took a relaxing weekend trip down to Pineville Missouri where my parents were already relaxing. Floated on tubes, fished alil', & of course had some great food.
I did talk to my dad about taking 1 of his video cameras to SDC on our up coming trip on the 22nd of this month. Hopefully he will let me take it so i can actually do moving video, instead of just pictures. We shall see..

Random Talk / Vacation to Colorado

We have been in Vail Colorado with my parents for the last week for the GoPro Mountain Games, it used to called The TEVA Games. I have 1 video made up from the first day, i will try to get another video up soon. Enjoy!!
