General Silver Dollar City Talk / (OTC 2014 to be moved)

The tree has gotten so hum drum for us that we do not even venture up to see the ceremony anymore. I really hope they work on something else soon. But, it still seems to draw a big crowd so the PTB might see this as a excuse to keep everything as is. I would also like to see new and different shows added for Christmas, the ones we have now are getting long in the tooth. Off topic I know.

How about a theater built specifically for cirque du soleil with a permanent show themed to the area. Surrounded by a entertainment district with Micro breweries shopping and smaller clubs for late night entertainment.

Other Parks / Toy story Mania

I have seen this the last couple of days and thought I would post here for discussion. Toy story Mania is one of the most popular attractions at Disney ever. Most of our trips to Hollywood studios the stand by line reached 2 hours plus and Fastpasses were gone for the day within 2 hours of park opening. We always seemed to make the initial race from opening to the line in the morning rode it and then got a fastpass for later on. Not sure I like Disney's  new experiment, but maybe it will work better, Time will tell.

I agree with Shave. Just teenagers having fun. I pulled some of the same stuff when I was young. I doubt that they intentionally broke anything and were just hoping to keep out of trouble when they got out. We all have learned from our mistakes.

To me it seems like the writing is on the wall because of all the strange moves they have made this year.

1. They added shows in Jan and Feb
2. Went back on the road for some dates
3. Rented out the theater to other shows for the first time ever.
4. The reality TV series
5. Tickets at Branson 2 for 1

Looks like they are selling their soul for revenue. Hope it works out for them, but I really think it is the beginning of the end for the Hillbilly humor shows in general for Branson.

You all know most of this will be scripted for them Right ?

The Jury is out for me. Tru TV is usually the Wal Mart of TV, so I do not expect much. It is sad that the Mabes have resorted to this for attention.

I would tear out AP and construct a new mountain type flume attraction. Similar to Splash Mountain at WDW, but it would also have a coaster in addition to the flume. I am talking a huge mountain.

The root beer floats are good on my old glass mugs from the 80's. Not so sure about the ones since then since we never purchased any after the glass ones.

I agree with you too MHguy. I could care less about someones lifestyle. They are still a person and if I am totally honest most gay people I have been in contact with are more compassionate and less condemning of others than most christian people I know. As for me the whole God and Country thing is overblown and I tire of it quickly when in Branson. How many times am I required to stand and salute the troops during a weekend? Part of the reason we quit going to any shows.

I will not partake of it, but I have never bought a picture on any ride anywhere. Never even look at them. But for those that do, I guess it is a cheap way to get your photo.
