I'm as diehard about theme as anyone else, but I figure this fits fine with Moonlight Madness, and since that's the only time they'll be doing this, it really doesn't bother me.
If my memory is correct, Moonlight Madness started as a 2 day event and now is a 2 week event.  So what would keep them from expanding it out more?  I do like Midnight Madness but let's keep the theme of the park in tack.

Sullivan's Mill?

It holds 5 or 6 people fairly easily.  Works pretty good but won't get you completely dry unless you go more than 1 time.  Speeds up drying process very well.

This book about Shad sure sounds like a great pickup.  I saw the man on several occasions but don't remember ever talking to him.  I sure wish I had.  I always wondered if he really knew the blacksmith trade or if he was just character acting for the city.  It probably was a little bit of both.  I just know it would not have took much to fool me because I knew nothing about it.

Heck! Lets take it down the maintenance road till we find some hills.  I remember riding the flooded mine back in 1972 and they had a live donkey or mule in one of the scenes.  Boy did he ever smell.

Random Talk / Branson preshow

Has anyone seen the Branson preshow on youtube?  It's interesting and has a pretty catchy tune and lyrics.  It would be pretty cool if they used this for opening ceremonies for this year.

It would help a lot if they would just open the doors to the shows a little sooner. At least around Powder Keg it would help the congestion part.

We have 5 children between 9 and 14 years of age. We spent about an hour every time we visited also. The kids loved it! What kid doesn't want to be drenched. Me being 50, not so much. I also loved the waterboggan before the changes were made to it. It was a lot smoother ride and you could actually keep your eyes open thru the entire ride without water putting them out. I heard a big problem was injuries. Was this problem before or after the changes, or did they continue during both time frames? It appeared to me just watching that a lot of injuries occured at the end of the ride with heads either going forward or backward.
