i used to have reoccurring dreams of FITH when i was a kid. It looked mostly like it always had, but i got to travel along a secret track nobody else got to go on. (This was before I even knew that there are now unused sections of track nowadays)
Also the park didn't look as it does but it was still SDC.
I also had reoccurring dreams of a fictional SDC coaster that always crashed. I nor anyone else would get hurt though. We all would just get up & walk away.

Does SDC usually throw a fireworks celebration on the 4th? I've never been during these dates. I figure they would since it's a celebrate America theme this year.

Awesome HB ! yeah i'm the only one of my teams that never went to page woodson. I do have lots of friends that have in Okc area though.

I just wanted to know about the really tall guy who currently plays the character of "Shorty" & how long has he been a citizen of SDC. Have there been others who played this character & I've also seen him double as The SDC undertaker. Is he a member of this forum?

I used to go back home after a day in early 80's SDC & play Diving bell in my bathtub. I used to turn the faucet on & off & pretend they were gauges & water was flooding in. I'm sure I even had all the lines memorized. I would throw myself around & pretend there was a rock crashing through the wall, Ah a 7 year old's imagination.
Its funny how a ride can impact a childhood. So many great memories.
I don't see why the guy starting this thread thinks he would cause trouble for not remembering a ride.
we are all here because we are obsessed with SDC & remember the good times we had there.
I don't remember Jim Owens float trip. American Plunge was brand new at the time. I'm obsessive about SDC I like to see the remains of where rides used to be. Maps & diagrams I wanna see the developments for the old rides. I love all that stuff!

That was my thoughts when I first saw the news. Surley Herchand Ent can acquire SOTH. for goodness sakes they just purchased the Harlem Globetrotters. The play must go on. That in it's self is historical.

Its just me.... I'm a purist & would want the Rube Dugan name to remain Nautical & legendary to lake Silver.
I don't care for the flight theme at all. Seems too carny. My vote is for fireworks if done properly.
