I thought we already had a 2024 thread but apparently not.
Since FITH2.0 has been delayed to 2024 let’s move discussion on the project to here to keep things tidy.

With that being said, the ride has gone vertical.  You might be able to see it from the firehouse if the lights inside are on.  Of course the windows are filthy so you won’t be able to get decent photos.  Can confirm that there’s supports up.  There might be some track as well, but that’s still a “rumor” for now.  We’re not sure if what looks like track is track or just a different type of support.  Remember RMC track looks like supports so it’s hard to know for sure until confirmation

It is well known that the park is going towards a more fantasized version of the 1880s now instead of the gritty style it has had in the past.  Expect more flowers and things you’d expect to see at Dollywood with regards to landscaping

Does no one go to the park anymore or are these boards just dead?

They’ve walled off the switch backs near the Lumbercamp falls.  The Wildfire arch has been removed.  They only way to get to Wildfire now is to go past Replicating Lathe and then by American Plunge splash area.

Trees, overgrowth and switchbacks have been removed to create new seating area for the new food court going in where the fire was.  Oh and the shed that survived the fire behind Flossie’s has been removed

Been noticing as I was at the park tonight that Flooded Mine is in it's worst shape ever. Almost nothing was working outside of the audio and water effects. All the belt driven pulleys and such had broken or removed belts and one guy had his head decapitated and dangling on his chest. I could imagine that freaking out some little kids. Also one of the boats was taking on water in the station so they moved me to another one. I chatted with the workers and they too talked about how they love the classics and hope to keep them around, and they too couldn't talk about the building under construction or "they would get fired" but as for Flooded Mine they smiled and said they are aware of all the issues and that a real plan has already been set in motion that will make everyone happy in the near future.

They’ve been saying that crap for years and it always gets canceled.  They know why the Mine has gone to crap.  Anyone who has a brain and knows anything about the Mine knows why it’s in the state that it is.

Anyone know why PK is closed? I’ve noticed on the app it’s been down and am at the park today and the sign by the ticket booths say it’s not operating today…

I swear I read somewhere (I forget where now) that it was supposed to be getting a new train.  Maybe they’re in the process of getting it certified to run?  Don’t quote me, but I swear I read that somewhere

I like you.  You’re funny.   ;D

In all honesty we cannot use what has happened in the past as an indicator on how fast this project is progressing.  The fact that the build will be indoors changes everything.  They don’t have to worry about bad weather.  The footer is already in and cured.  All they have to do is install things now

This 2023 opening is looking like it might not happen. I have not heard of any track pieces showing up or anything with the inside going on. I do not see this opening in 2023 and will be instead 2024. If any rumored stuff is true like a drop track this ride will need a good amount of testing done before opening. I believe that Time traveler started testing back in the winter of 2017.

While I won’t deny or confirm that it was TNT, you can see for yourself on the app that TNT continues to be closed and has been since this news broke
