Yep I went there several times when I was younger, unfortunately I do not have any photos of the park.  There might be some buried at my grandma's house, but yeah.

The thing I remember most about the part was that it had a spinning barrel ride.

Later on towards the end of its life as Mutton Hollow, they added a midway with rides.  There were a couple of coasters there.  One was a Figure-8 and the other was a Go-Gator.  They also had an Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel and a few other rides.

Well we won't be there on "Opening Day" -- I have Parent/Teacher Conferences that day -- we plan on being there on that Friday or Saturday... leaning more towards that Friday.

Good job, Swoosh.  You hit the attraction for this stroller area, though you spelled it incorrectly (It's High-Low...)

Actually the way I spelled it, was the way it was originally supposed to be spelled  ;)
Just a little random fact.  ;D

I think that they've got a pretty good shot at beating the beakers in Lawrence -- also they've always won the match in Lawrence when the year ends in a "9" -- I know weird tidbit there, but interesting nonetheless

Hmm... that IS interesting.  I wish you had got a better pictures of the missing wheel.
While it could easily go into the Grand Expo area at SDC, I'm not sure it would.

We'll have to wait and see where it ends up.

I still say they should move the laser show to Echo Hollow.  What a great venue to hold something like that in.  They could even change the show out for each festival.

Chalk up another win for the Tigers.  That's #24 on the season.
Sure hope #25 comes on Sunday in Lawrence.  Basically whoever wins that game is in the driver's seat for the Conference title.  Since OU has to come to Columbia this year to play, I like our chances.

With any luck I'll also be going back knowing that I have a teaching job for the 09-10 school year.

Is there some doubt there?  Just curious by the way your worded it -- is this your first year or something?

I think that the "Fastest 40 Minutes in College Basketball" will be quite focused on the task at hand tomorrow night.

Well kWHOooo? beat CHOKElahoma tonight AT Norman, so that makes me a little more confident about our chances with OU at Mizzou.  I wish they'd hurry up and sell out the rest of the tickets for Wednesday's game (MU - KState) so that we can finish the season with 5 consecutive sell-outs.
