I still cannot ignore the fact that I felt like I was watching Dances with Wolves fused with Ferngully the entire time I was watching AVATAR.  It was such a blantent ripoff of storyline that it was almost unbareable to continue watching.

Oh and yeah we're going to get hit tomorrow by snow on into Monday -- so I guess we'll see if we have school... but then again we might be "tough" and go anyway regardless of how dangerous the roads are.  I have no idea anymore what they look for when calling off school.

Lumen is one the worst online grading programs I have EVER had to use.  I cannot remember the name of the one I used when I did my student teaching, but it was a lot easier and user-friendly then this thing.

Not to mention it doesn't want to load have the time and you HAVE to use Firefox if you want it to load correctly. It's not worth the hassle most of the time.

Swoosh, what position do you have at SDC? (Just being noisy.)

Heavens to betsy child will you please calm your racket.
I cannot even begin to think about answer your question with you being so noisy.  ;D

Junior, he doesn't have a position at SDC.  He has insider contacts; he runs Midwest Info Guide and so has access to information as a member of the media.  He gives us all kinds of good information, such as the detailed storyboards and concept art/diagrams for RiverBlast. ;D

Yeah what he said.

I was at school until 4pm even with the roads being terrible.  I figured that I'd let the idiots get far enough in the ditch... I mean away from school before I'd set out.  'sides I had to enter grades into Lumen because midterms are due Monday.

That's right - every school in the area let out early for snow today but us -- that's because WE'RE TOUGHER THAN THOSE OTHER SISSY SCHOOLS!  ;D

Other Parks / Re: SF Kentucky Kingdom Closed
« on: February 05, 2010, 09:39:09 AM »
I hate being this way, but no big loss.  SFKK had really gone downhill between my last visits (I visited it last summer).  The amount of neglect and the fact they shut down an entire section of the park made me think that the park was on "borrowed time" as it was.

SFStL should benefit from this closure by getting some of the slides (Deluge) from their waterpark

Interesting how the buoy is in the middle of the ride channel. I imagine it was just set there until it can be placed where it is supposed to be placed.

Shoot last week we had an inch of ice on the roads and we still had school... you're right we like to "live on the edge" up here in NEMO

Are you kidding me?  Do you guys not know how to clear off the roads down there or something?  Sheesh.

The beauty of going to a rural school district...gravel roads and hills...

We went Tuesday, though.

We are a rural district too with almost nothing but gravel roads (shoot the town the school is in has some roads that are not paved).
As for hills... they don't call this area "Thousand Hills" for nothing.  lol

You guys are just wimps down there when it comes to winter weather. ;)

thought about it, but have not decided to take the "plunge" yet in getting my PhD yet.
Life is way too "complicated" right now.
