^Yeah if they cannot fit into a regular sized seat, they have to move to a "big boy" seat on Wildfire.  These are the seats with the double seat belts on them.  They are a little "bigger" to accomodate guests "with larger attribute dimensions and proportions" -- if that still does not work, they have to take the WOS (Walk of Shame).

Branson Talk / Re: Where do you stay when you go to Branson?

The Ramada by Dixie Stampede is a great value.  The free hot breakfast buffet alone is worth staying there again.

Avoid Econo Lodge behind Grand Palace.  The Residence Inn down there is nice.  Radisson is amazing there near Grand Palace.  HoJo near Starlight is fine, but breakfast could use help.  Best Western near Soji is nice, the breakfast area is really small.  Days Inn behind Jim Stafford / Duttons is a dump.  The Fairfield near Walgreens is very nice.  The Orange Blossom Inn near Soji is ok - grandparents like to stay there.

That would have been hid behind GG and would have involved actually going over to GG to actually see it.  You wouldn't have been able to see it from Lost River

Correction:  I do not work at the city, only live there!   ;D  I will be there probably the 18th-20th, often wearing a black Dogpatch USA ball cap.

I'll be there sometime around then - incognito.  I like to blend into the crowd (well as much as a person with a Nikon camera taking pictures of everything can)

We've YET to have a full week of school since Christmas Break with snow days, teacher in-service early outs and planned off days.  I swear the first we we have a "FULL WEEK" without any interruptions and what-not is going to kill me....

HA!  Looking at my calendar right now, there is not a "normal week" between now and Easter.

Mar 01-05 - Early Out Wednesday
Mar 08-12 - Early Out Wednesday
Mar 15-19 - Early Out Thurs, No School Friday
Mar 22-26 - Band gone Friday to MSHSAA District Contests
Mar 29-31 - Early Out Wednesday for Spring Break.

That would work for me personally, but would not be an option with competitive marching band and sports schedules.

Copper, Doc, tinman and a couple others I know for sure are employees.
I'm there enough myself that I might as well be one.

Give us all a holler on the boards when you go so we can be on the look out for you.
Shoot History Buff saw me randomly one time during Christmas, and I usually run into Copper every other time I go.

SNOW DAY #6 for us  ;D

We got 10" or more of snow dumped on us in a 24hr period.  Still diggin' out from it.
I would imagine we'll have school tomorrow but it will all depend on how the back roads are... we might have to go hard surfaces only -- oh wait we don't have hard surfaces in most of the district, that might make things interesting. :D

There are always people in there when I walk by that shop.

Of that list, the one that surprises me the most not opening with start of the season is Carrie's Candles.  That store is always busy.

^in that map, the location of the fire was the buildings on the LEFT side of the street just past the square.  That entire block of buildings is now completely gone.

^that's all right, that's what the pictue reminded me of as well.

No one was hurt and only one block of the main street area was affected - thanks in part to the "road" that goes between that section and the rest of the main street area.

Complete loss though, so hopefully they can get it rebuilt before the season starts

ALTOONA, Iowa -- At least three fire crews responded to the Adventureland theme park in Altoona Saturday afternoon.

Adventureland spokeswoman Molly Vincent said the fire is contained to an area known as 'Main Street' inside the park and no one has been injured.

The fire is so big, smoke could be seen from the Des Moines International Airport.

Vincent said Adventureland is closed for the season. There is a popular gun show going on nearby, but it is not connected to the fire.

KCCI viewer photos show a lot of smoke and fire billowing from shops inside Adventureland. Fire crews are keeping everyone out of the area.

I cannot get over how good this thing looks.  Completely blows Dollywood's out of the water with regards to theming.  The cat tales are really cool and add that extra something to the swamp theme.  This thing is going to go over very well.  I know I cannot wait to ride it. :D :D :D

They'll probably connect Wilson's Farm with that area to make another loop
