Complete 100% letdown.

Perhaps, but I think it was a pretty obvious addition.
It's not as if the park didn't give enough clues this off season that it was coming.

I don't get the "shock" of some of you posters.

I guess I am the odd man out -- I have no emotional attachment to it.  It is an eyesore in my opinion and should just be taken all the way out.

Sorry to trample on some of your emotional parties, but it is not going to reopen.

They didn't say that those over 7 would not be allowed to play, they just said that was the "target age"

Random Talk / Re: What are your favorite Soap Operas?
« on: October 26, 2010, 05:54:45 PM »
Soap Operas are shows where there is very little acting.  The characters almost always stand in one spot the entire time during a scene -- this way they only have to memorize minimal lines without worrying about emotional reponses and other cues that movement would require.

A Drama is a once-a-week show that features lots of actual acting and more in depth storylines.

College Gameday Live.  That's about as much of a soap opera as I watch.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Halloween at SDC
« on: October 22, 2010, 09:16:06 PM »
I prefer SDC going with a celebration of Fall instead of Halloween.  Leave Halloween to Worlds of Fun, who does it right.  SDC has Christmas.

However, I'd love for them to get a fall concert series going in Echo Hollow during Fall Festival "ROCKtoberfest" anyone?  Have some big name Christian groups and even some Rock groups come in and perform on the weekends.

Interesting that they would do it on a Saturday.

With College Gameday being in Columbia, it will be hard to get any quality press time (papers / tv) on anything local.  Tuesdays or Thursdays prove to be the best day to get good press coverage as there is little to cover on those days most of the time.

I guess I will stop and see what is going on on my Blackberry as I will be in Columbia all day tomorrow.  M-I-Z!!!

The Swinging Bridge, Grandfather's Mansion, Flooded Mine and a few others were "grandfathered" in so they do not have to be ADA-compliant.  Now if they make MAJOR changes to them, they they will lose the "grandfathered" status and will have to become ADA-compliant.
