The park has begun testing a mock up of a smaller section of slide, like what will be used on the new Lost River.  This is located in the Shadd Parking Lot (the one that's behind Red Gold) but the set up is visible (well the back of it is) from 76.

https://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2019/02/riverfront-lost-river-sdc.html

It's not surprising that they are already working with mock ups considering that this will be an "in house" build.  Supposedly this is the first ride designed and built exclusively by the park since the last Lost River.

We are now at 10 Snow Days for SC.... and I highly doubt we’re done with Snow Days.

Think this is an indication they intend to remove the cabins?

So The Wilderness has been renamed for this season.

Considering that “Cabins” is in the new name. No

That's generic.

“we like to think of it as more to the point”

I honestly don’t remember them planting anything on any of the newer coasters.  “Life found a way”

^^I think it's just the time of year. Probably not going to have water rides going during "Spring Ride Days".

They had all of the water rides open for Spring Break Days last season

A couple of quick updates.

1.  The 2019 Edition of the "City Shuffle" is now online - where things are moving for this season
https://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2019/02/city-shuffle-sdc.html

2. Dockside Theatre will survive for one more season.  Though, both it and the former White River Mercantile building are slated for removal off season 2019.  WRM will be used as a character meet-and-greet building and Santa's House this season.

Just a rumor that is floating around - still trying to get exact details....

Either the corkscrew pass bridge OR the truss bridge near the blown glass/candy shop will be removed and redone this off season.  It sounds like it will be one this year and the other the next.

Bridge replacement has been put on hold.  Apparently they’ve bit off more than they think they can chew this off season and are now concerned about getting things done before March in “key areas”

I thought it sounded like they were trying to do ALOT in off season.  These guys have endless people and a huge budget, :o so if they want they can get it. :).    In
Interesting they decided to hold off on this, Makes me wonder what else they are doing. ???.  Must be lots of little projects going on in prep for the new stuff next season ;D.

Check you PM

Of all this, the part that hurts the most is honestly losng the Dockside theatre. I really liked that place and it was set up so well by the stream and lost river, etc. was my favorite venue to watch a show. Liked the big sign up above and the wood benches, too.

Has there been any confirmation yet that the theater is actually gone?  Outside of a couple of people predicting its demise, I haven't seen anything yet that has shown or confirmed it's removal.  I've actually seen rumors that it's just getting an overhaul and update- certainly unconfirmed as I really don't know what's happening to it, if anything.

Last over head image I saw both it and Rube Dugan's trading post were both still there, though I imagine the store would be on the list to go just based on the side of the walkway it's on.

Theatre might still be up, but everything up to White River is gone.

Yeah, I understand their reasoning. Thankfully, I've got four niblings under age 12, so I should be able to go at some point. I really wanna see the Mini-Land most of all. Someday I wanna be able to go to an actual Legoland, too.

It’s really well done.  I’ll see if I can’t fund an old PTR of it.  It wasn’t any problem for me getting in when it first opened because the Master Model Builder was a fraternity brother of mine and I’d get to go up and watch/help him build in the lab.  Unfortunately he left a couple years ago to go back into teaching (much less stressful)

Think of how they do the SkyCoaster.  The queue is outside of the ride envelope.  They walk the riders to the load area from that queue area.  Same train of thought here.

Oh and Sand can we borrow the photos for MiG?  Please and thank you
