Why would anyone in their right mind take buses from northern Iowa to Orlando?  It would be cheaper to fly (time and money).  It really comes down to how much is your time worth.  Sheesh.  You send the equipment/instruments down in a UHaul and meet it there.

I guess I asked a few days too early.
Carr Excavating came through with a new photo today.

I've added commentary over at MIG to explain what you're looking at.
There's more to the story I'm sure - but the info posted is what can be gleamed from the photo.

How did you manage to get that fast Pass? When I went to Disney from December 29-31, I was surprised how good our fastpasses were. I was reserving with a group of 12 and got Everest, Dinosaur, Safari, Star Tours, Rock Ní RollerCoaster, Tower of Terror, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain and only booked about 2.5 weeks in advance. I expected to get nothing good.

The most I ever waited was 1.5hrs for it.  Iíd suggest going straight to Naívi River then since you will not want to wait very long for that short ride

I was told the River Journey wasnít worth any wait  ;D

We actually didnít even walk through Pandora because we only had about four hours in Animal Kingdom, most of which was spent eating supper or going from fast pass to fast pass.

If you only got 4 hours in Animal Kingdom then either your director or tour booking guide is absolutely clueless about how to do Disney.  Considering that my choir just performed there at the start of December.  Flew in from KC and still had almost 9 hours at that park.  Shoot we had 7 hours at Studios before our flight out.

To answer your question on how he got the FP for FOP.  Resort guests not in groups can reserve 60 Days out

Any updates on what restaurants are still standing / gone over by Time Traveler?
I have a feeling that area is going to be unrecognizable this upcoming season

What was the European park that refurb'd and enclosed a shuttle loop?

Ah, here it is. Well done
https://youtu.be/eJC1SAY9psE

That's different.

I was thinking it was a classic Schwartzkopf until it actually started the launch and crawled forward...
Same exact idea except built by Gerstlauer.  If you look at the photos on RCDB before they enclosed it, it looks almost like they copied Anton's old coaster design nearly exactly, but put in a different launch system.

I had thought they modified an original but I don't really know.

That brings me to something off topic. I wish some city with an empty dome stadium would work out a best of Europe Fun Fair event in Jan and Feb, where they would bring in something like Olympia Looping for a limited engagement.

So like the TWA/Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis?

Wow some of you guys really get around.

For me, it's all about saving up airline and hotel points and then cashing them in.  I live cheap during the year so that I can play.  With our trip to Ohio and Canada we will be exclusively visiting Cedar Fair parks so we will use our Platinum Passes and dining plan which will help cut down on overall costs.

The WDW trip in November will has some major comping as I am checking out a couple of performance opportunities for my performing ensembles.

I received it today, too! I haven't gotten one in quite a while, so I was so excited to see it!

I'm still really bummed about it being the last year of the Wild West Show...

I imagine that RGHH will be dark in 2019 during Cowboy Fest as theyíll be working out the kinks for that Miracle of a musical coming for Old Time Christmas.

Well technically there is no Santa Claus after December 23rd at Silver Dollar City

Shame on you, you doubter.  Yes, there IS a Santa Claus, and he's very real.

Just for that, you're getting coal in your stocking next year.  :-p

And because you didnít read the fine print, you get a private tour of the Pit of Misery.  Dilly Dilly

Much like the 2017 edition of this thread, this will be the place to let everyone know where you are going / have gone during the 2018 calendar year.  To help others find information, we will make these threads last only one calendar year and then we will create another.

Adventure is Out There!  Cannot wait to see where everyone is going.

Next you'll tell us there is no Santa Claus!  :'(  I'd like to see The Pinkerton Man come back to replace the Wild West Show but with Time Traveler next to Echo Hollow I'm not sure that will happen.

Well technically there is no Santa Claus after December 23rd at Silver Dollar City
