The magic shop has moved over by FitH temporary and will be moving to the general area of FL after this season

Hmmm, does this mean that art/sign shop across from the toy store is going to move out?

It was just a placeholder anyway.

We were sent a photo of the new construction wall that has gone up around the former area where the Magic Shop and the TNT arch was located.

...and seriously that planter between TNT restrooms and Christmas Corner needs to go.  Look at how it is just in the way

My idea is to.
1. Take out big logo
2. Reconfigure ticketing area to be booths and customer service (will exit back into plaza and won't be allowed to exit bay bathrooms anymore)
3. Turnstiles will be where big logo was located
4. Rentals / Trailblazer will be moved to old customer service
5. Old turnstiles, rental building, trailblazer/sbb buildings removed
6. Build additional pathway around other side of sink hole
7. Reconfigure cave set-up so Entrance and Exit are in same area.  Make that part of HH cave gift shop and waiting area.  Make entrance be off square.
8. Remove the rest of HH that's not used for new Cave entrance
9. Make new entry arch to segue from newly reconfigured pathways around sinkhole to the city
10. Perhaps add a new "newspaper" building down in new entrance plaza with newsboys handing out maps (newspapers) and answering general park questions.

The current rental area is a huge bottleneck....but I cant picture them moving it.  They have a huge storage area for the strollers/carts right behind the booth.  They can't move that into the little customer service shack.  A two secordary path though for people to take to avoid that would be great.

So you're saying they can't build another storage area over at the new site? :o ???

I like all of that except removing the HH.   Love that old building.

It is no longer useful in its current setup.  It would also be in the way of the new walkway configurations.

Really curious to know what they are gonna do with the TNT arch stuff, particularly the new mine carts and railing they just rebuilt with the sign for the 2016 season. Hope we will see them reappear somewhere around TNT or in the park somewhere.

They gone and won't be coming back.

So will there be any signage for Thunderation? All the coasters have some sort of entrance sign.

Other than what's there currently?  Probably not

It took Mr. Bass Pro less than two years after he finally got off the pot to transform the Pyramid in Memphis to a store and hotel. It has been opened for two years and this place STILL isn't officially Open. And...at the prices he is wanting it best be special.

It's called priorities.  Besides Top of the Rocks is his baby in SWMO.  Who cares about WOW

Sounds like Magic Shop and the former TNT arch is gone now.  Apparently a new construction fence has popped up around the area that stretches out to Valley Road.  Poke Salad Mary's is also behind the fence but apparently is surviving this revamp of the area.  Not sure if any of the other structures are leaving.  I have to think that they'll want to open up the area to make crowd flow better.  Taking out that planter between TNT Potties and Christmas Hollow would go a long way to help flow.

That just happened in the last few days then... moving fast in that area.. took advantage of park being closed for 3 days.. thats impressive..

that planter is in the way,  But with magic shop gone. and TnT arch gone.. that will make a big difference..

Did they move the lockers?  about had to didnt they?

It sounded like Magic Shop was taken out completely on Tuesday.
The lockers have been moved to BOH (supposedly over by Brown's) for now but I imagine they'll reappear when the new ride opens

Maybe, just maybe, we'll see something happen with the entrance widening/overhaul that we've been assuming has to happen any year now?

I look for that to happen this winter. :-\ :-\     At least take down the wall and rework that part.

I personally am hoping they dont take out the little "creek" area just inside the wall, maybe just a wider functional bridge or crossing of some kind ;D

I agree that this will probably happen this winter.  They are essentially done with track installment on TT and have now moved onto integration with the park (through removal of structures and new additions which will start to pop up).

When do we start talking about 2020 speculation?  I assume 2019 will  be an "off year" as far as new rides.

I went ahead and created pages for 2019 and 2020.  We will get them pinned later on tonight, but you are welcome to begin the speculation.  I'm sure others will follow suit.
