General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Citizen injured

Just looked on the app and TNT shows it’s open…

I also saw some posts on Facebook from people at the park staying that it’s open too.

I did notice that there were 2 full trains in the garage at PowderKeg last night when we were headed back to the station.

That’s what it is. It’s actually in the fall rack card brochure that is out now. My son picked one up on the way out of the park Sunday evening and I just now looked through it.

Noticed that they were hanging some Christmas lights from the new poles and cables on the Woodland Hike trail. I wonder if the plaza area will be open for an Old Time Christmas and the trail will be like Glacier Ridge at Dollywood.
There were more strands of lights coiled up and not hanging down yet.

*Glacier Ridge photo isn’t mine.

There are a number of larger parks with resorts attached that have "private" entrances for resort members.

With Dollywood restructuring their parking, they actually moved the resort guest entrance down with everyone else. There were plenty of grumbles about it on the trolly each day.

Looks like a few parking lots.

I would suspect that these will possibly be used later this season.

There are new steel structures in the ride plaza area. They have also planted trees in the plaza.
The windows in the back of the FireHouse Play Place are quite dirty so it’s getting harder to get pictures.
It didn’t look like much was going on inside the building, but we were there close to dark.
The side facing Fireman’s Landing also has these squares. Not sure if they are to attach theming later on or what.

Do you think this could lead to the close of tnt. Top thrill dragster at cp might close because of the injury caused!

I think that it’s way too early to speculate about something like that. This situation also seems to be quite different. In the case if Top Thrill Dragster, a piece of metal flew off and hit someone in line.

The “windowed” area now has brown metal in it.

No pictures of it, but the power poles along the trail from Pumpkin Plaza now have wires going between them and some going across the path. Assume that these are to hang the various festival decorations from.

I think they took your “order We have what looks like a window pattern going…” to mean actual windows and not as a architectural design element.

The more surprising work is going on at the edge of Fireman’s Landing by the Wagon and Balloons. A good amount of clearing and a good number of posts have gone in.

The new ride building is starting to get exterior walls. The side facing the highway is brown metal. The sides facing the Pumpkin Plaza and Fireman’s Landing is a flat white material. Not sure if the end product will just be painted or have a facade attached. There is also a but more concrete work formed up around the assumed station. That is also the only area with stained and possibly stamped concrete.

I don’t believe any of the Pumpkin wall has been removed. You can see the supports for the Pumpkins lettering sign on top of the wall still there in the top center.
