Would be cool if they offered them as webcams so you could watch online.

I mentioned having webcams to Brad Thomas once and he looked at me like I had 3 heads!   I told him that I would imagine a lot of people would like to know what crowd situation was before going for the day, or just like to watch.  He seemed a little more receptive after I explained, but didn't get the sense that he had the same feelings.

Found this sign at a Flea Market off of 165 last week.  The owner of the Flea Market said he wasn't selling but a funny story about it is he did sell it a while back and the guy who purchased it realized he had no way to move it and told the owner he guessed he just donated money to him.  The Flea Market owner said he is going to open a sign museum and will include that sign in it.

More parking lot progress.

The spaces are now angled and lanes are one way. Only a portion of the paid lot has lines painted so far.

Glad to see this!  As tight as that parking lot was, it was a nightmare with a larger vehicle getting in and out of those spots, sometimes.

Thanks for the pics/update.

Maybe this was mentioned somewhere, but I didn't see it.  With the food truck area now open is the "foggy hollow" path open from the food trucks to Boatworks Theater?

I swear that theme can already be found on cans in Crossroads

Close, but not sure they are exact.  I thought the same thing.

Looking at all that smoke from trees burning, has me thinking that somewhere Mary Herschend is rolling in her grave!

Definitely looks like they are getting serious about the parking though.

Nice review!   Good to know if these are offered next year.

Here is our reviews on the food offered on the Christmas tasting passport

Wait, is the Christmas store still there?

Yep, still there (just there about 3 weeks ago).  That has to be one of my wife's favorite shops in Branson.  I will usually go into it one time a year with her.  The other trips down, I'll enjoy the benches outside!

The toy store is always fun and interesting.   I always enjoyed the sampling at Mulberry Mill and we will always take a spin in the Thomas Kincade gallery.

I truly hope they put some money into the buildings!

Ditto everything above!

My wife always enjoyed going to GV to shop.  There are a couple of stores that I enjoyed, but mostly I enjoy sitting outside by a fountain on a park bench in the sun and enjoying the day.

We were just there a few weeks ago, and I noticed all of the same things you mentioned.  I really hope someone does some work to it, or it'll be another bulldozed memory soon.

I can't tell if Dollywood's blackout dates are a money grab or a means of trying to control crowds.

Either way, I am not sure that alienating your season pass holders (at any level) is the way to do it.  I am of mind that it should be the opposite - a season pass holder only day during Christmas where there are specials all day, the food is automatically discounted and maybe special performances.   I realize that SP holders get special perks now and the BAFs are nice and allow a friend to enter "free", but isn't that truly just a marketing ploy in the end?   Invite a friend or two and hopefully it'll turn into a SP purchase in the future?  Or invite a friend or two and they will spend "X" amount of dollars for food/merchandise?

As others have mentioned, I have been a SP holder for a long time and it saddens me to think that I am actually considering not getting one.  I am sure, in the end, I will, but its a shame I am even thinking about it.

Ok, off my soapbox!  :)   Looking forward to my Christmas visit in two weeks!
