I don't want to be a party pooper, but should that link be allowed in these forums? We all know that it's out there. Heck, I've watched it myself. However, in years past this forum wouldn't allow things like that to be posted because taking the video was a violation of park safety rules.

I know this site isn't sanctioned or affiliated with SDC, but I believe we have always tried to do things to maintain good relations with the folks at the City.

I agree. I removed the link. I've always typically enforced this, but we don't have many stated rules around here. It makes sense not to post any POVs that break park rules. I haven't been to the city yet this year, but I imagine they have plenty of warnings about not recording on the ride, similar to the old FITH.

Sorry everyone for the post!  I didn't know that was a rule, but understand the reasoning.

Well, I knew someone would leak it out.  Here's the first published video of the new Fire In The Hole ride, that I've seen.

ADMIN EDIT: Link removed. Let's not post anything that goes against park rules

How long has it been since this has been open?

I've been trying to find an exact date, but the best I can find is around 2016.

According to article on Branson Tri Lake News, no plans as of now:
Branson Tri-Lakes News reached out to a representative of World Choice Investments, who said the move was focused on the safety of the community.

“While we do not have any immediate plans for development, it was determined that removing the former RFD Theatre would be the best and safest course of action for our business and for the community,” World Choice International CEO Jack Lawrence said.

We were in Branson over the weekend and took a picture of the RFD theater demo.  Moving along.

I would second this opinion.  I love the demonstrations and continue to visit a majority of them each visit.

I am glad you posted this.  I had seen that sign the last few visits and it created all kinds of fun speculation, but I kept forgetting to look it up.

The family is planning on visiting next week sometime. Is the park comparable to last year?

We are excited to ride the train into the woods to hear from Grandpa. Last year, listening in the wood chips area was neat, but it will be good to get back to tradition. My littlest wants to ride Fire in the Hole, and it would be their first and last chance on that particular ride. So many memories...

We've been to OTC twice this year.  The train is running this year, and most days they have 2 trains going so the line moves pretty quick, no matter how long.  Crowds are are on point on Fridays and Saturdays, as most years.  I've seen some posts, recently, of slow days during the week.  FITH will have a LONG line too, but they are moving pretty quick.  We were just there Friday and the line was longer than the queue they have for it and it took less than 30 mins.  Most rides are relatively low wait times during OTC, it seems.  Just get there when the park opens (or even a littler sooner), and you'll be fine.

No more wooded walk unfortunately, unless you count the few tall cedars left hugging the pathway. I'm sure they'll eventually connect it all to the new FITH.

Too bad.  That had quickly became one of our favorite spots during the Craft festival at night.

I sure hope not.  This is the first season since being SP holders (2006) that we will be there for the 5 festivals required to get one.  HA

And the tram  situation was embarrassing. We waited over 15 minutes for one to take us to the park around noon. We walked back to our car at stop 2 around 8:45. Probably took us closer to 10 minutes because of the amount of people walking and my daughter loosing a sock. In that time, we never saw a tram or bus pass by us to go to stop 2 or 3. They were loading busses and trams when we headed down our vehicle but they never delivered any passengers. Took 5ish minutes to get settled in the car and pull off. Still no one had arrived via transportation. I hope they fix things before Christmas because it will be an absolute nightmare if they don’t improve it.

We saw the same thing on our last visit in August.  We got in line for a tram and waited over 20-30 mins before ever seeing one come down to stop 3.  We saw 1 or 2 hit Stop 2 during our wait.  I am not sure if they are planning it this way, or if they don't have workers, but for their 2 biggest festivals, hopefully they figure it out

Would be cool if they offered them as webcams so you could watch online.

I mentioned having webcams to Brad Thomas once and he looked at me like I had 3 heads!   I told him that I would imagine a lot of people would like to know what crows situation was before going for the day, or just like to watch.  He seemed a little more receptive after I explained, but didn't get the sense that he had the same feelings.

Watch roller coaster trains in a load station ? Uhh , kind of like watching paint dry to me. I do not believe the cost would be worth the few who would view this.

My thought was to have one in the square.
