Other Parks / Six Flags Fiesta
« on: June 19, 2017, 02:07:15 AM »
Will be going to Six Flags over Texas in July and decided to take another 4 hour drive and go see Six Flags Fiesta. My question for those that have been to Fiesta, is this a one day visit or should we push it out for two days (will be going to SFOT for two days). Any tips or suggestions on what "MUST" BE DONE. Also, any suggestions on hotels. Thanks

Thinking about going to Frontier City in July. I will be staying overnight and attending the park all day. Wondering if a person needs one or two days to fully experience the park. Also like to know if there is any special deals out there. I seen where some hotels offered a package deal that included tickets to the park.....seemed like a good deal. Figure I would check on this site before I booked the trip......will also be going to Six Flags over Texas July 13-16 and will be at Frontier City July 16-17. Thanks in advance for your help.

Construction/Rumors / Lucky Silver Mine Restaurant at SDC
« on: May 16, 2017, 02:31:51 AM »
I read an article that stated that the Mine Restaurant at SDC has a few "unique" tables. The article states that there are certain tables that actually move up very slowly and one that moves down slowly. Anybody know if this is true and if they still have these tables today?

Great idea but last year I posted a request for some tickets and was told he would meet me there. He never showed up and I got stuck buying two tickets for my daughters friends. So I recommend using caution.

I often stay in Branson and book my rooms online.....biggest fear is that you really dont know what your getting. My concern is always "How clean is the room". Usually a low price is often met by "you get what you pay for". So my question for you is this...Are they clean rooms?

I agree that SDC needs to work on the Fast Pass issues. Several rides you have to walk through the line to get up front. Always get a lot of hateful stares.

??? What???? What ride do you have to walk through the line? There is always an exit. You are suppose to use the fast pass entrance which is made only for fast pass holders or use the exit if there is no fast pass entrance. You wont even see the people waiting in line when there is no fast pass entrance.

Lost River: You now have to stop and let the employee try to sell you waterproof gear.....there is always a line there on hot days. You must walk past all those people to get that same employee so they can call to the loading dock and hold you a spot.

FITH: You have to walk past all the people in line and enter the same entrance as they do.

Electro Spin: Yes you use the exit but still have to stand next to all the people in line.

Thunderation: you enter from the side and merge in with the others
Train: You enter from the exit
Swings: Enter from the exit but they sometimes change the location
Barn Swing: Enter from Exit
FireFall: Enter from the Back side
Outlaw Run: Enter from a special entrance to a locked gate where an attendant verifies you pass and then he lets you pick out your seat.
Powder Keg: Separate Line but still walk past others waiting and arrive at the attendant.
Wildfire: Use handicap entrance but once again you have to stand there with the others and wait for the attendant.
American Plunge: Has a side entrance to use

I get what your saying about waiting in line like everybody else. I dont use my pass when the line is short. When you got 45 min wait then I will use my pass.....BUT the same pass I bought is available to anyone who wants one.

Isnt Pandemonium at Six Flags similar to the ride you all think SDC is building. Pandemonium is a spinning coaster is it not?

I didnt mind paying the $150.00 for the season trailblazer pass because I can use it anytime I want and ride as many times as I want. I find it hard to swallow the $69 for a one day trailblazer pass. Personally wished other parks would offer a season "fast pass". I attend SDC and Six flags numerous times throughout the year......SDC was 19 times last year....loved each time.

Thanks SirWilliow for your response.
How did you all handle the guests who complained about the people skipping lines due to them having special passes?

Thanks Swoosh for you informative comment.......curious to here your thoughts on my other questions though.

Actually Holiday World is totally free drinks. They have drink stations located throughout the park. You just walk up and grab a cup and get a fountain drink of your choice. They have several options to choose from. From Pepsi to Gatorade. Once your finished just throw the cup away. You get thirsty later just find another drink station.

Why doesn't SDC have a "dining pass" offer or offer a sports bottle that you can have free refills?

Why do some theme parks charge for parking? I know Six Flags St Louis is $20.00 a car. Just doesn't make sense to charge for parking and then you still have to pay the admission price to get in.

Why cant more parks do what Holiday World does and offer free parking, free drinks?

Why the huge up-charge on bottle water and other food items?

I understand they need to make money but wouldn't they gain more attendance if the prices were all reasonable.

How do some of you feel about people who purchase and or have these flash pass/ trailblazers passes and are able to skip the lines? I admit that I purchased the SDC season trailblazer pass last year and loved it. However, some of the looks I got from people when I skipped the line was nerve racking. Just curious to hear some others thoughts on that.

Wonder how you got these numbers. Thought SDC didn't release park numbers. Also curious on the percentages on season pass holders versus one day tickets. Always been curious on how many season pass holders actually attend the park.
