I will say it again, aside from MRF being more fancy and modern, I still think I liked LR better.  With that said, I did spot what looked like water nozzles after it comes off the drop that I assume might eventually be tied to those machines you put money it to shoot water at boats passing my like on the old LR.

I like the idea of the ticket on the phone, however I would not be going anymore if they went with some sort of facial recognition deal.

We will be in Tampa this weekend and thought about hitting Busch Gardens but it appears a tropical storm might be there at the same time so will probably skip it.  Only  have 1 day so probably not worth trying to hit Disney.

We did go  thru the regular line the first time but it was right at opening so we did not wait that long in the actual line/que area.

It did appear most people were wearing masks and I heard them call out masks being required in ride lines but did not see them kick anyone out.  I will say the temp thing is a joke.  On Saturday we walked from our car to stop 2 tent and stood in the sun for a while.  The people in front of us had to wait in the tent under the fan for a bit (10-15 minutes) which held up the line.  When it was our turn the wife came back with a 108 temp on their temp gun.  We too had to wait in the tent till hers came down.  I told them they might want to call an ambulance if its that high!!

We went to the park this past Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to our trailblazer passes we walked right on to MRF.  It was a nice ride but honestly I think I liked LR better.  It seems like you bounce off the sides of the channel quite a bit and can be a bit rough.  It also seems like most of the ride time is tied up with with transporting the boat from one point of the ride to another.  Boat seems to spin quite a bit, and fast too sometimes.  Don't get me wrong, I still think it is a great ride but not one I would wait more than about 15-20 minutes to wait.  On Sunday we went right to the ride and rode it thru the regular line the later on used our TB to ride it again  The park was pretty empty, parking lot not very full, but I think everyone was on line at MRF.

We also ate at Ribhouse.  When we went thru the line and got our food, I was impressed by the amount of food they gave for the price.  I got the brisket and pulled pork.  To me both seems on the dry side for my liking.  Flavor was not bad, not anywhere close to the best bbq I have had but probably good for a theme park.

I am thinking about making a quick trip over this weekend, either going over tonight or tomorrow to check out MRF.  I am correct it my assumption they got rid of reservations for season pass holders, correct?

We went the first 2 days they were open then the next weekend went to WW.  I want to try and get back this month but not sure it will happen.  If it does this coming weekend will be the only option.  The week after next we will be in Florida for a couple of days .  Probably wont be able to make it as often as we did in years past.  If all of Branson goes with a mask requirement it will be a hard pass for us.

We went to Center Stage last year and the service was pretty slow even though the place was empty. Steak was not cooked correctly and the singer up there sounded like a cow dying in a pasture.  I hate to be mean but that is the facts.  That said we would probably try them again, maybe.

Looks like we might be down there first week of August.  Think I might hit the beach a day or 2 then hit Busch Garden unless they shut everything down again between now and then.

Big D is a little more expensive that what you can get around here.  Gettin Basted is just way too expensive IMO.  Have not had Dannas but $24 is also way too expensive for a 2 meat.  I figure it will be more expensive in a tourist area like Branson that here though.

As for SDC food, If they give you a good quantity of food for that $20 it might not be too bad of a deal for a theme park.  We very rarely eat at the park anymore, just too expensive.  It was not that long ago the buffets were $12.99 which I thought was reasonable.  Most of the gen pop will pay whatever prices they ask because it is a captive audience and they don't want to try and go to town them come back.  We are there often enough when we get hungry we leave for the day because usually by then we are done anyway.

A simple indoor coaster of some sort like the one they used to have at Frontier City would be great.

We at there once when they were at Starlite and it was great.  Ate once at their new place right after they moved and ti was great.  About a year 2 ago ate in there and noticed they got rid of multiple meat combos.  You had to order whatever you wanted then can add a 1/2 lb, lb, or whatever of the 2nd or 3rd meat.  I cant remember what I ordered exactly but the price came up to right at $20 for 2 meats and that included 2 slices of brisket.  Completely unacceptable for a BBQ place.  Maybe they have gotten better again lately.  The first 2 times we ate there they had combo plates for a normal price you would expect at a bbq place.  At Big D you can get a 3 meat plate for around $16 I believe and it is a ton of food.

I had just posted a while back about all of the motels that are closed or for sale, empty lots etc so I get what you are saying.  As far as Gettin' Basted, I am done with them.  That place is WAY overpriced, they do not give you much food, and I am not really that impressed.  I discovered Big D's on SOTH and it is WAY better.
