Eww, so upon further inspection it does look like a cloned Vekoma ride. I really would hate to see SDC and DW pull a Six Flags and jump on the importing cloned coasters bandwagon. They are above that sort of thing. It would detract from the uniqueness of their parks.

If the new project at Dollywood does not include some kind of Mack hopefully this means SDC will get a Mack Hyper or Big Dipper in 2020.

But a B&M Invert or Wing swooping over Lake Silver would be nice too.

they should be able to find another sponsor of need be... 

BUT the sponsorship did not make or break the bamk as far as funding the coaster...  only 430,000 dollars in 5 years?...  in the total scheme of overhead costs and building costs,,,,,  not a big hit to SDC... 

Too bad SDC cant eliminate the 11% of power they use from them, since they "changed" their mind....  LOL

But they can, build a solar farm nearby.

We have a winner.

Awesome featurette video! Glad they finally came out with this! Been trying to explain to people ever since this was announced how the "controlled" spinning will work as I previously mentioned it would be best described as a brake caliper for a giant disc brake similarly seen on a car. For anyone else curious Go to 1:44 You are welcome. haha

According to a blog that's being posted (see the Dollywood thread on TPR) the promotion is being axed as of the 2018 season. Wonder if SDC is following suit. I'm still waiting for the day they start charging for all parking at SDC.

Superbowl is meh for me. Prefer College FB. Granted I do pop in to catch a few commercials to see if anything is interesting.

Now I am not sure how to feel about this. That was one of my favorite quiet areas of the park. I guess I will see when I go on opening day next month.

Notice the lack of spin with the cars versus the animations we previously saw, granted its partially because there is no weight variance to cause the spinning but that is also part of the magnetic braking system that will control it, I do still see quite a few people being apprehensive about this. I believe it was discussed before on here but I think to help with this issue, the park should market and word it more along the lines of pivoting or turning versus using the term spinning. Again these are NOT gonna be your teacup type spinning cars. 

And note too that those launches are looking quite a bit more intense than what the animations showed as well.

I would REALLY hate if they got rid of all the Pines and shade trees in that segment. I am hoping it was at least spared if the rest of that area was razed. I am thinking there might be an uproar if they got rid of the skillets tho. There was always a decent line and a lot of people eating from there.
