I've received 2 emails from SDC telling me the SDC Times is on the way but it hasn't arrived yet.  Looking forward to the food/drink discount coupons!

Branson Talk / Re: Showboat

Please note that the noon meal and show is different from the 4 pm and evening cruises.  Have heard some folks really like the evening with the aerialist/violist and new musical group but didn't care for the lunch show.   And have heard some folks prefer lunch to the evening cruise.

On Sunday, June 26 there will be a benefit show and telethon for Joplin at the Mansion Theater; over 40 Branson acts will participate.  Minimum ticket price is $50.  It will also be broadcast on RFD-TV that night from 7 - 10 pm as well as some Ozark area TV stations.

In regards to SDC discounts, I ate at McDonald's in Mountain Home AR this week.  There was a $5 off admission coupon printed on the placemat.  Don't know what other McDonald's are offering it but thought I would mention it.

Thanks for the pics.  Sure wish I could have been there!

Here's another article (from Branson Tri-Lakes News) about the Wallendas and Kids Fest. Their regular KF show will be in the Opera House.

Forgot to add this -- it's great timing for the Wallendas to be at SDC.  They just completed a major stunt in Puerto Rico that was covered in the news over the weekend.

I also got an email from SDC today about this event.

When I drove by last year, there was still part of an old cabin that could be seen from the road.

The Discovery Channel will be at SDC on June 10th to film Nik Wallenda performing aerial stunts from a helicopter flying over Echo Hollow.  This show will take place at 4 pm, and you can be part of the audience.  The Fabulous Wallendas will also have a show during the run of KidsFest from June 11 -- July 24th.

Branson Talk / Re: RV Campground Membership for sale.
« on: June 01, 2011, 11:03:35 PM »
Have thought about the Treasure Lake membership before but it does have some drawbacks (no cable TV) and getting in and out can be a challenge when the traffic is backed up on SOTH from the traffic light at 76.

795
both would be great additions to the area.........

What ever happen to? or has it been cancelled/delayed the race track complex near branson.

There's a meeting about it soon at the College of the Ozarks but it's not open to the public; it's open only to the members of the Chambers of Commerce of Hollister, Branson, and Table Rock Lake.
