I guess I was answering this.

"You know, I remember hearing the story about why they re-did the tunnel, but now I forgot. Anyone remember? I think it had something to do with PK's construction.
I too miss the scenes in the tunnel, now it's pretty boring."

As for why a ride is closed, it could be a myriad of things. Low attendance, pump broke, sensor broke... the list goes on and on...

Hello! Yes I live near Branson in Springfield, Missouri.

They are having trouble with attractions like the Mansion and Tree House. People have been messing around in them and now they have to post an employee in the Mansion from time to time to sop these things from happening.

The Tree House structure is dangerous and some major rehab is what would need to happen. There is talk of tearing it down and building a small flat ride in its place. I do know the City gets a lot of letters and emails over this lost attraction. I would hate to see it go.

The American Plunge Cave was collapsing, so they had to fix it. Unfortunately they half assed it and didn’t do anything fun with the tunnel. It is a concrete tunnel to support the loop that will eventually connect Powder Keg and Wildfire.

I would love if they added the channels near the Wildfire overflow line back to the American Plunge. Put the still back in and the falling outhouse. These would be small additions that would make the ride more enjoyable.

Wow, I remember the ladder in Grandfathers Mansion. It was right next to the exit (mirrors) and as you climbed up Grandpa would talk to you. When Grandpa would talk it would freak me out, so I don’t think I ever made it all the way up. There was a little hole at the top you would look in, but I never got to that point.
