Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2018 Project(s) and Park Developments

Went ahead and posted the photos.  We just got home less than an hour ago.
http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2017/05/time-traveler-track-hung.html

Photos of the track in the air - another piece ready to go - and several supports up already. There is more track visible from the train.  Did some detail shots on the station.  HUGE update.  Enjoy!

I was the first to point out that I didnt know how the switch track would fit in with the room and how the track would go in with footers the way they are.

Sounds like they might be thinking about making a Mega Pass that you can get more with than a Season Pass.  :'(

Looks like the fences and line that was used on Orbiter.

Didn't all of that go to Wild Adventures?

The ride was taken there. I dont know if every single part including the line went too. Also, notice how I said LOOKS like.

First CC closed, which made SDC behind DW on upgrades/new rides. With LR not working for a while, I think this is SDC's chance to get ahead of DW. Less people will go to DW because they know they wont be able to ride the new coaster and they will be going to SDC for new rides instead. This is your chance SDC! Dont screw it up.

We should see vertical construction soon.  Supports and other metal components have arrived.

Looks like the fences and line that was used on Orbiter.

Construction/Rumors / Re: Lucky Silver Mine Restaurant at SDC

I can confirm that there is at least 1. It is in the middle of the walkway, next to a pole. It slowly rises when a family sits down. As they go for seconds at the buffet and come back, it is like a show. They will eventually tell the waitor/waitress about it, not trying to complain. We all laugh as she/he tells them whats going on and lowers it with a tool. I was about 10 when I saw it for myself, but it has been a while. I never sat at the table. I recently heard about more tables, which must have been put in after the last time I was there. I heard one lowers somehow or spins. ??? Never been back since because like all other food there, it is way over priced like fair food. Just go to Wendy's or Taco Bell before going, unless you have lots of food in a backpack prepared to take in. If you have the money and want to see it, be my guest. I wont be seeing it again until the prices are reasonable again and I doubt that will ever happen.

Other Parks / Re: Frontier City Developments

1st time it happened I said, well make sure it doesnt happen again. Now this is the 2nd time. WTF Frontier City!?!? You should have fixed the problem the 1st time! You need to do more than just oil the tracks! Dont make this happen again. This is not the publicity you want. If the ride dont want to work, remove it. There are a few other great coasters that would be perfect for that spot.

The 1st pic is of what it looks like now. It looks like they made a line with a long 2x4 of where the switch track will go back to.

2nd pic, I outlined in red where the switch track will go, based on where the line is, where the loading track will be placed, and where the trains will be parked in the maintenance bay. The reason why I did this and posted it here is because if this will go the way I think it will, they are going to run out of room. The green line is where I am 90% sure the track will go for bringing the trains in. Yellow line, they could bring it in that way, but I see no footers or dirt moved to prove that it will. The problem is, I dont know of a way they are going to make this happen without running out of room. They could put the switch before the green line as it makes a 180° turn and run 3 tracks into the station, but that will cause headaches and take more time to bring out/put away trains. Does anybody have a theory of how this will work without running out of room, considering what work has been done and where the footers are?

Watching that video, without saying any bad words, all I can say is wow. I never thought that was possible. Its like watching a different kind of model train.

I think the 2 names is because they will both be 1, like "Powder Keg: A blast in the wilderness"

Im thinking something like, "Wild Mountain: Time Traveler Edition"

Maybe even went with more than 1 theme, possibly.....

Branson Talk / Re: Showboat Branson Belle -- big changes
« on: March 15, 2017, 06:09:45 PM »
Are they still doing the pictures beforehand? I HATE that part... slows things down and I do not want my picture taken nor will I ever be buying a picture set. I have a phone and a camera that is as good or better than they have and IF I do want pictures, I will take them myself. In the past, I have just said I wasn't getting pictures and bypassed it all. Then last fall I had a run in with one of the photographers who INSISTED I get pictures and we got into an argument over this... We finally just walked by her and boarded because I was done arguing about it.

This is such an outdated process and I do not know why it persists in Branson. Before everyone had a camera on their phone it made sense as people want to remember... But no one is going to pay for pictures they can take for free. Just is a waste of photographic paper. I do hope they recycle the 95% of pictures that go unsold.

They use those for emergency purposes. If somebody goes overboard, they have a way to identify them. Selling them to you is just an added bonus for them to make money instead of wasting all that paper. But, if you prefer not having your picture taken and are 100% sure you wont go overboard, they arent suppose to stop you. Phones really do work just as well, or better. In this day and age, there really isnt a need to buy pictures. I just do it because anything can happen.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Just some general questions
« on: February 22, 2017, 09:55:02 PM »
Yes, but Im glad there are a limited amount because if everyone used them, there really wouldnt be a line. Which is why I dont get why any park would have these cheap, or free and enough for every person in the park. They would just take the fast pass, then there would be almost nobody in the regular line.

Just another reason to go to Branson Landing, which is my favorite free spot to go to. Hope they open on time. Keep up the good work. 👍

I agree that SDC needs to work on the Fast Pass issues. Several rides you have to walk through the line to get up front. Always get a lot of hateful stares.

??? What???? What ride do you have to walk through the line? There is always an exit. You are suppose to use the fast pass entrance which is made only for fast pass holders or use the exit if there is no fast pass entrance. You wont even see the people waiting in line when there is no fast pass entrance.
