We are disappointed to hear that you were unaware of the theme to this special event and were expecting the park to be as it is during other festivals and in full operation. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know and will strive to do a better job of promoting these special events more clearly.

In Other words.................  Too bad so sad!  that's the way we are gonna do it, we don't give a damn what you have to say about it.

Or it would have read something like
" we appreciate and welcome all questions and comments from out valued customers, rest assured we take all comments into consideration when making decisions in our parks"

But that's not what they said.

They said,........ Like it or Lump it.

Interestingly when I was early at 6PM for MM I was welcomed with the Ghost Busters Theme.
They are not keeping it to the hours of the event.
This also contains no information about Powder Kegs lack of theme music.

Free Sunscreen would really be a nice touch. I hate to carry it with me.
Free drinks is great but I can see the loss of revenue and you can get water for free by asking.
I like the free refill cup deal they have at Dollywood. I think its $14 but you get free refills on certain days.
They were giving refills away on the 25th as it was the anniversary.
If you gave them away on weekdays that would be a nice perk.

Branson Talk / Re: Gambling in Branson?

I didn't think having it in Rockaway Beach was such a bad idea, you couldn't see it from Branson but it would further hurt Bransons volatile hotel industry.
As I understand the Hershings were very opposed to the gambling and vocal about it.

Branson Talk / Re: The Grand Palace

That theater is not big enough to put on an outdoor show and park everyone.
Pretty simple.
I have seen a few shows there and when its sold out there are not enough parking spots let alone taking up half the lot with the show.
The hotels and businesses around the palace would suffer through volume issues and prohibited parking as well.
I do understand the logistics are not easy and it would become a huge mess of people parking where they don't belong and although they say it would be pg I think they would " slip" some stuff in there that wasn't wanted.
But to be honest I would love to see what happens when those people come pouring out of the theater, I bet it will be a real show, and not a PG one.

I think it would be wonderful if they could revitalize the American Plunge! Silver Dollar City used to be famous for their quirky gags along the Jim Owens’ float trip,
Absolutely, if they could utilise more of the old track and legthen the ride they could fit more boats in per cycle.
I do think however if the modify AP they could add the loading system from Dollywoods flume, far superior faster load and unload.
It would be great to revitalize an older ride.0

Yes I do, that was on the fence that is no longer there.
She appeared to be "well stacked."
Too bad they throw those things out.
Classic SDC

I was in Dollywood this year and I do agree, there is more money and more care.
I agree that maybe instead of sinking money into coloredsand and throwing a cheap sprinkler out on the pavement they should invest in more play area, or upgrades.
It is a waist of capitol.
I was a friend of an entertainment director that left a few years back, for another venue, he left on good terms.  I know what he was involved in and his absence shows.  Not every thigk he spearheaded was a hit but at least they tried new things.

I hope that's gone now...................
That spreads like fire in the forest if its not stopped.
Its tough to have a positive attitude with the MM as it is, it does attract a different crowd. The employees are not positive about it it either, neither by there actions or what some of them said to me last Thursday.
Man I hope that tag is gone.

Can anyone report on this?

I have to share with you a thought about M.M.
2 years ago on a trip to DisneyWorld we were told all about Extra magic Hours, where you get in early or stay later than the public as  perk for being a hotel guest.  WE did this one time, never to go back, considering just how many people there were at the extra magic hours you couldnt ride anything because of the crowds and the shops were closed.  After that night I decided that this " Perk" was Disneys covert crowd control.  Selling this special perk only to Disney Hotel guests ( all 30,000) rooms worth, they knew where the bulk of these people would be depending on the park they were expanding hours for on that day.
After my MM experience I have decided that if SDC can open the park for .33 longer at the end of the day and charge 50% admission fee thats a smart move and a great profit, especially considering the lack of employees it takes as teh shops are closed and most of the restaurants are also closed.  Smart move SDC.
I will however also do what I did at Disneys Extra Hours, I will now avoid this at all costs.
Its what I liek to think of as " fast easy money"
We have a Disney Phile here on the boards, what are you thoughts on this?

The Roller Coasters and the Swing may pose a problem for him.
If he is thinking about going on the rides he can try the seat outside the building. I recommend that he do this as it is really unfortunate when someone has to do the " Walk of Shame" because they didn't try out a seat first.
The park is indeed hilly. If you begin by walking down to the candle shop area first it will be easier on you.
Plan on leaving the park by exiting via the right side ( candy / glass shops) You will find it more managable and not quite as steep as the left.
Head the warnings on the maps

Isn't the Mansion where Peter Pan was? I wonder how many seats they will lose at the Mansion.
I was in town the other day and it seems like they did paint the building but they haven't fixed up the grounds at all. ( landscaping )
What other announcements have they made for acts?
