In perspective a million dollars isn't much for an attraction.
You are talking about clearing land, adding electricity, water pipes.
Infrastructure alone is expensive.
The swing was reported to be 7 million.
We aren't talking large here....

That photo of the blacksmith shop is great.
The green of a spring tree in SDC against the old buildings and the black top is such a fresh happy color.

Too bad its in there. This is the type thing they should have put on display this year for the 50th..  There were other models of the new rides and they are apparently collecting dust.  It is a shame they didn't have a display this year and also sell the music cd's etc.

You are all right, they were in Tom Sawyers Landing and they were also at the area in front of the Diving bell.  I remember, I crawled in them as did my little brother.

With the property they have at CC and the popularity of attractions like the great wold lodge they may have a stay and play up there sleeve's.
If they were able to pull one of those off with indoor and outdoor water activities and a cpl restaurants they could also buss people to SDC.  This would assist them with the parking.  I think it would be a draw.
White Water is old and tired as far as water parks go, its also land locked so they cant do much expansion.
What a neat concept to have a hotel and a water park SDC style.

I forgot about those cart being down near the lake.  I thought they were
up near the Tom Sawyers Landing.  
I also love the old pumps they had and things like that you would stop at and try your hand.
It took just a min and broke your stride, mission at hand and your day a little.  It was like stopping to smell the roses.
Those things are gone now.  Maybe people tear stuff like that up, I dont know but I miss them

Non descript Beige 2003 Ford Escape 4X4, and I love it.
Its a fun little vehicle without all kind of unneeded frills, no TVs, no
back up cam ( but those are kinda cool.

Avid fans who like to wish, imagine and remember...nothing more.  Even those who maybe claim otherwise

On that line we were all looking for posts that were in the ground earlier this season.  If you read back through the threads the claims and " Look here and theres" have changed now, without any warnings of change from anyone "in the know".
I think you might be on to something.
If I remember correctly there is enough space back there to retain the waterfall. They could just put a facade on the back of it to make it look like a wall from the back side. Possibly have a building front there, bathrooms or a huge 2 story dippin Dots stand  :O  behind the building could be the falls.  It can be done and I hope they do leave them
It would be a shame as the movement of all that water does create a great little atmosphere back there.  But I think we are jumping the gun with the removal of anything like that.  It is one of the few quiet places left.  I hope it stays.

I would love to hope for revamping and reusing the old float trip track but I think its maybe far from probable with the way they split it up during the initial change.

If they do connect the ends they will need to do some pathwork on the wildfire side.  Probably remove the American plunge line from the street and re route it through the old float trip station.
It would be a much needed link in the areas.
I wonder what they will do with the back of the water fall. I sure hope they have no
ideas of removing it.

They used to have Mexican, although it wasn't authentic ( some would scream) they had a little salad bar you could top it with, I always enjoyed the meal and last year they took the condiment bar away and this year it sounds like they trashed the whole damn thing.
I don't care about a barn dance and will not even go in there.  Facts are they cant make any money off the barn dance.  It was nice to sit around insdie with a little entertainment while you ate.
Too bad.
Another notch in the tightening " declining by degrees " belt.

Its getting to where I am walking in and expecting LESS than I remember.
 I am not disappointed that way.
