I wonder how the ever growing The Wilderness is affecting Dolly's wager playground.

I imagine that's an optical allusion

Either way is is nearly equal and a full broadside makes it appear ago be a bigger dip than the common angle we see with the train pics.

Trying to do frame by frame of the video, it looks like the the apex of the drop is slightly higher than the top of the lifthill and the dip between the two is used to gather enough momentum climb that extra height and would really give the riders in the back big time air.

smaller ones are about 3 inches diameter at the base and stay skinny to the top..  about 8-10 inches tall, holds 16 ounces.

Those are the ones the lady said were this year only. The Fat ones would carry over.I didn't need any cause we got some that are about five years old that the wife hand washes to avoid fade out.

My Maternal Grandmother's family reunion is held over close to West Shiloh. I had a Great Uncle that grew big melons and I looked forward to going e dry year to see the big ones he'd raised and he would always send the biggest home with me. Largest was an 80 pounder. I had a grower down in Mississippi always hook me up with 35 to 45 pounders for the 4th at the stores. I would get about 500 from him. I kept a running total one year and I personally touched a little over 17,000 one year. Once was offered a job as a buyer for a wholesaler. Plastic and irravation has really screwed things up. There once was an easy method of keeping up with the harvest but now so many states come off at the same time trying to capture the 4th market.

Are you kidding me??? $13???  How did I miss that one?  Anyway, to answer your question, the current refillable mugs are only good for this year.  If you have an older mug, they are also good for refills, but for how long is anyone's guess.  There is another thread about this on here somewhere.

Last time I was at the city, I asked about that and was told that was for the smaller mugs but the big ones still carried over to future seasons

What's amazing was that this was never an issue at Libertyland. I Get that it was a smaller park nut that stand was popular and everyone say there and ate their slice on shaded picnic tables. Never once did I see folks take it with them. I guess us true Southerners understand proper melon eating procedure better than most. I Loved walking up to that faint tub and looking over the side and see 20 plus melons iced down floating in that chilly water. Later on in life I went and hauled melons for my Grandfathers stores straight out of the fields of NEA and the bootheel, often picking them myself by the hundreds. I LOVE WATERMELON. My thoughts will not be swayed and I want watermelon. I grow watermelons in the back yard but they are special melons.  They are yellow on the outside and red inside.

Topper track on Rocky Mountains website shows it being a rectangular hollow steel box. Now this is the first ride to get their own train with it so it may be a track design for their train that's a variation of what we have seen.

How is it any different than any of the other trash generated. Was it a stand without seating? This would be a covered eating area with picnic tables and it certainly would not be located right on the water. If Libertyland pulled it off, surely SDC can. It popular there. Besides the seed aspect is greatly reduces if you used seedless melons.

Being as I'm native of the flat lands of the Delta and Libertyland in Memphis being a big part of my childhood, I remember one thing that I always enjoyed, Watermelon. They had a stand where you could get some watermelon. They kept the melons in a huge tub with ice and the melons floated. Man, wouldn't this fit right in with Wilson's Farm especially with the traffic that will head there with the new ride. Serve other melons like cantaloupes and honeydews and candy and caremel apples as well. Watermelons are pretty well a year round fruit these days. Make it look like a old fruit stand and the melon tub look like a giant oak barrel. Have a seed spitting prop if it serves the seeded varieties.

Went to SDC today. Didnt make it to the city till 9am......wont comment why. :/ It was packed to the gills. No surprise but still it was amazing. Did not see any shows. Rode TNT (still amazing!) LRTO, thought the line was huge but it turns out for some reason they are holding people on the bridge explaining the rules before shipping them off to the other line. All in all the wait was about 20 min. Not bad for that ride. AP was to the entrance so we didnt ride that. Went to RB and there was a small wait. 30-45 minutes. But it is worth the wait as you get soaked. FM was a wait and a half. Amazing for FM ya know. I took pics and will post them later tonight. I had alot of fun despite not doing everything. I dont know if we will go tomorrow or not. The crowds were pretty high today and my husband being my husband.....:)

My niece e was at the City on Thursday and said the AP line was insanefor a Thursday but Powderkeg was very short. Maybe we could use that other unused flume down the road.

So you are just wrong.

Here is the difference between SDC fans, who love SDC even when we're just speculating and hoping, and the larger community of coaster fans who only want to be right, and prove it!

Welcome anyway, SuperBuckalew. If you'll stick around, I think you'll find this is a friendlier crowd than what you might be used to. We discuss a lot, and debate not very much at all.

While we all want to know the details of the new ride, nobody has much ego staked on being "right" about the details.

I am hoping someone doesn't spill the beans again on the ride layout drawing like someone who posts here did with Powder Keg before it was announced. That really sucked. Is there anything we can do to block the spoilers of the final ride layout drawings or post them to a different thread that would be nice if you have to post such a thing. I didn't like that part of the surprise being ruined.

As on another site a few years ago. We kept hushed on the layout of Prowler at Worlds of Fun until it was released to the GP so we all could enjoy the surprise and get the most of the viral marketing leading up to the ride announcement. We did know who was building it then. (we didn't know the height yet because it didn't go vertical until after the announcement) It was a fun experience then and I want to enjoy it again with SDC's New Coaster. I don't consider what is already built to be a spoiler as it's there and everyone knows about it. However only a few people knows what the final layout is, and I believe that some of those people in the know post here. So I hope the final spoilers don't come early here.

Here's the deal. SDC is building this before an official announcement. Not only that, there's a good chance Google Earth will update imagery and that will tell the tale.

Let us all take a deep breath and turn to the words of that great philosopher, Thumper, chapter 1, verse 1  "If you can't say nothin' nice. (sigh) Don't say nothin' at all."

I like the words of the great spokesman of the latter part of the 20th century, Rodney King. Can we all just get along.

I would just like to say hi... I"m a noob. I am an urban explorer & was doing research on why the Water Boggen wasn't there anymore & about Jim Owens float trip. I happened upon this forum & I have been sitting here for hours reading page after page after page. Totally geeked out on all of this! Oh & Im a total SDC fan too....have been attending almost every other year since the early 80's

I have heard several reasons from low capacity per hour to Ada issues. It seems the area is often mentioned as a new ride location in Herchend surveys. I think the closing was ill planned as many seem to have enjoyed it and due to Dolleywood still operating a similar ride. At least I think they do..

Here's how I see this, it gets ready in time for OTC. As incentive, those who purchase their 2013 passes get to ride as a special preview and they give hints in the queue for the next park addition.  ;D ain't happening but they are throwing it up so quick. I really hope they landscape the tunnel well as to where it actually looks like a real cave where an outlaw would hole up at.
