Branson Talk / Re: Big day for Branson and surrounding area
« on: March 12, 2013, 01:22:14 PM »
And then there is a dark cloud hovering over the Branson airport now, with all the cutbacks they are getting ready to do @ a federal level...( Because on our c-i-c),
there is a threat of closing the air traffic control tower on smaller airports nationwide, If i remember right there are 5 or 6 being threatened in missouri alone.

that would be just great, get southwest in, and then lose the control tower..

i dont know what the cost would be to private fund something like that. OR even how that would work..

Considering that Branson is supposed to be a private, for profit airport maybe the owners should pay for the ATCs.

I can not for the life of me understand how a government agency can not operate on at least the current level with an actual 2% increase in budget over the year before. This is government. They have not shared in the pain the rest of us have endured. I've had 4 day workweeks for a year, had 401 matching reduced and so on. Yet, the Federals keep having their cake and eating it too. They can't find cost savings and efficiencies in  other areas to keep essential services going? PO Leez!  They cut off access to the people's house yet keep three calligraphers on staff for 300,000 a year? Come on.

As much as I hate to see the digital theme clock I love its conveinence. Its delightful. Instead of guessing do I have time to wait in line before this show starts.....Its nice. And its not huge. Its a nice small-ish size. It could be worse. Compromise was well done

I seem to remember when the line for AmericanPlunge  being really long back in the day(80s), they would periodically do a skit of some sort that involved folks getting wet from a water bucket to break the boredom. Or am I dreaming that?

Of coarse I remember waiting in the line for Flooded Mine outside, woof.

Carrie doesn't look like this anymore

She's diagnosed Bi Polar. There's some recent youtube videos of her doing a show on a cruise really out of it.

All Pro Bobby Joe hails from St. Louis. Noticed Cardinals copying Wrigleyville now with new developement around Busch.

Oh and Shine on:

If you are familiar with the PigTrail. There's a farm that's been converted to a music venue just north of Cass and Turner's Bend. Several years ago, the Wakarusa Festival relocated there and it's thriving and growing but this year they have added Thunder on the Mountain that features country fare instead of jam band fare. Toby Kieth is headlining that one.

Google Mullberry Mountain for more info.

We has some coeds make the trip but none like that.

I've been all over the US and I always find another Razorback fan where ever I go. We are proud to proclaim our love of the hogs. When we went to the Sugar Bowl, Levon Helm held a small concert for Razorback fans and I got to see a small part of that while there. We surely do miss Levon but I saw this and had to share cause it's jsut so dayum cool.

ASX.tv did a Love for Levon concert.  Roger Waters just played The Night They Drive Old Dixie Down" and had a Razorback cap Levon gave him at the Berlin Wall.  He got a bit emotional and said it's been his fishing hat and the one thing he will have til the day he dies.

Woo Pig Sooie.

There's lots of Tigers and Bears and Bulldogs but there's just one Razorback.

They are not sanctioned by the school.
Congratulations on paying off the refs today... and I thought it was bad at AFH.

Don't expect a very warm welcome when you come to Columbia.

I've been to Columbia for a game before in the mid 90s.

Been to over a 500 Hog basketball games during my time on earth.

Had some STUD recruits in the stands today. all guards though ;D
