Six Flags announced recently they will be open until Jan 1, 2017, for their first ever Christmas event. Also, a new ride where Rush Street Flyer sat.

Other Parks / Village of Dogpatch USA Events

We're coming up on our 3rd major event, so I thought I'd start a topic specifically for events. Labor Day weekend will be filled with arts, crafts, music, food, contests (BBQ & costume) etc. On a side note, the park is available for private, self-guided tours any day of the week for $10, just contact the listed number.

September 5 & 6:
Admission to the Dogpatch Pirate Invasion, Labor Day Weekend is $10 for adults, $12 for admission for both days ~ $20 for Family, $24 for both days ~ Children under 12 Free! ~ Come in FULL costume and admission is free!
Primitive camping on site is available for $5 per night.

Sad news, today, as there has been a fire, rumored at this point to be arson, that broke out around 3 pm.  If anyone has any more details, please post.  I left Branson around 11 a.m., today, or I would have been there taking pictures.  Hopefully this is resolved quickly & the damage is repairable!

FYI rumor:  SDC officials want to move away from any "hillbilly" or any "derogatory" characters.  The "new" corporate image may be showing it's ugly face, so, if any of you miss any familiar "characters", PLEASE pass along your disapproval to the appropriate management...
