To be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in the new voice recordings.  I wish they were more similar to the originals, especially the Red Flanders and the "fire in the hole!" parts.

I got it from not the most reliable source, wikipedia.  I just know from going to both that Dollywood feels much larger and has a lot more rides

Dollywood is much larger than SDC.  150 acres versus around 60.  SDC is a very small park compared to many of the heavy hitters

We won't be going until they aren't requiring masks anymore.  It will be miserable wearing a mask in the summer heat and trying to keep them on young kids will be impossible.  I told my kids (10 and 6) last night that we probably won't go yo SDC this year and told them ablout the masks.  They both said they would rather not go than have to wear a mask and they love SDC.

Guess I won't be using my SP this year.  I refuse to wear a mask in 90 plus degree humid weather.  How ignorant to require masks in a waterpark too!

I find it interesting that the vast majority of people screaming at people to stay home are either still working and collecting a paycheck or retired/disabled and collecting a paycheck.  If you are so scared, you can stay home.  The rest of us that don't have pre-existing health problems will keep the economy and supply chain going for you and help build up herd immunity.

The UK didn't start shutting things down until 2 days ago.  Not sure how people think they are handling it so much better.  The best example to look at for this virus is the Diamond Princess cruise ship.  Only 20% on the ship even caught it and that is with being in close quarters.  It is very likely some people were already immune to it before this outbreak.

We made it to Arrowhead.  No issues.  4 lane roads were fine

So glad we went Wednesday instead of Thursday.  Wednesday was probably the smallest crowd I've seen at OTC.  We waited about 10 minutes both times we rode TT.

I wonder if SDC will get a Vekoma family invert.  There is plenty of room for a smaller coaster next to FL in the waterbogan footprint.

We have season passes and live about 90 minutes away.  I refuse to go on a Saturday because of the long line to get in.  There have been times when we have turned around on a Sunday if the traffic is backed up to the high road.  I'm sure I'm not the only one.  Also SDC is a tiny, tiny park in terms of acreage.  OTC is miserable most of the time just due to all the people packed in like sardines

Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2018 Project(s) and Park Developments

I am very disappointed in the lack of a tunnel or show building for this ride.  I have a hard time believing they will get a return on their investment enough to justify the price tag.  I would have much preferred a helix clone and think it would have a much longer life span of drawing people in.  I am hoping that the next coaster added will be a much needed giga.  Just all out speed, airtime, and no gimmicks.  I would 10 times over rather have a Fury or Millenium Force clone over this.  MF has been around for 17 years and still consistently ranked in the top 5 coasters by nearly everyone.  They have a great collection of coasters already but they all are so short.

Yeah, I just re-read that.  I wonder if they scaled it back from the $40 million figure or if Swoosh got bad info from his "source"
