I worked at the gunshot late 70 s early 80 s. Wayne, or Jay, George Bohn, Bonnie, other street people would come down every day for 1 lb. of 1f black powder for the cannon. Every single day for years.

At the gunshop, mid 70 s an employee, caint recall his name, shot a rifle through his hand, the ramrod with it, and the ramrod stuck in the roof of the leanto. About 1975 or so.

I remember the filming of the Burl ives americas, I think it was called. I was about 6.3", 170 lbs and one day the people in charge decided I would be his lighting, etc stand in. weird day. nice man, though, very nice to me

I spent most of 9 years working at The City. Wayne was the funniest actor there. If he was acting, i aint sure he was. Very funny and talented man.

Bruce Grimes, SDC Gunsmith from 1973 to about 1986, is alive and healthy at age 83. Lives in Santa Rosa, Mo. The rest of his story aint so good.
