Much like the 2018 edition of this thread, this will be the place to let everyone know where you are going / have gone during the 2019 calendar year. To help others find information, we will make these threads last only one calendar year and then we will create another.
Adventure is Still Out There! Cannot wait to see where everyone is going during 2019.

I've rambled about it forever but its less than 6 months away
I see maybe a weekend trip to Dallas for Spring Break as 99.% of all resources till rhe minute we leave are going into Europe 2019.
May 25 - Flight booked XNA-ORD-LHR, Long layover(13hrs) in Chicago, Navy Pier or Field Museum, Pizza for Lunch, 1:20 Game at Wrigley Cubs vs. Reds. 5 to 6 pm back to ORD.
May 26 - Arrive in London at 11:20am. Plans in flux, depends on the jet lag and how much sleep we could get on the Red Eye. Staying Marlin Waterloo, very near the London Eye.
May 27 to 28 - London! (Objectives are British Museum, Tower of London tour, Changing of Guards, Churchill War Rooms, possible Globe theater tour and/or show, couple of Markets, other activities/sightseeing).
May 29 - leave Central London for Oxford area
May 30 - Bath/Salisbury, Stonhenge Inner Circle Tour at 8pm(sunset).
May 31- Cotswold Drive to Statford upon Avon
June 1- Warwick Castle for the day, then to Alton Towers.
June 2 - Alton Towers
June 3 - flight to Madrid from an area airport (Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, East Midlands) Tapas tour and possible Flamenco Show in evening.
June 4- Madrid/Toledo
June 5 - drive to Terragona see Consuegra Castle and Windmills of Quijote fame along the way
June 6- Port Aventura/Farrari Land
June 7 -Barcelona, visit La Segrada Familia and Park Guell during Day, Tibidabo park at Sunset.
June 8- Begin Disney Cruise
June 9 - Port in Cannes, take train to Eze and work back to port or trip to St. Paul de Vence and back.
June 10 - train to Cinque Terre villages, go to farthest and work back accorring to time, take at least one water taxi between two of them.
June 11 - Port at Liverno. Tower of Pisa first thing, then a visit to a Tuscan Village like Lucca or San Gimignano.
June 12 - day at sea.
June 13 - port in Naples. Pompeii tour, back to Naples for pizza, Archiogical Museum and to view The Vieled Christ
June 14 - Cruise Ends in Rome
June 15 - Rome
Working on the rest but dates at Puy du Fou are firm for June 22 and 23.

I hope they will just shut the gates on the parks soon. It is terrible how irresponsible visitors are. I have seen some videos of trash in Yosemite and Yellowstone. People are pigs.

I've been to Yellowstone four times but not in the last 15 yrs. I can honestly say that I didn't see much trash at all, and we always camped. The only dishonorable thing I saw was the Chinese guy that blew everyone off and walked across Old Faithful to look in the geyser. Sadly, no park rangers around at that moment, but an angry crowd that I was sure held a few people that wanted to go after him.
A continued shutdown could hamper a lot of folk's vacation plans. I've seen all the monuments and most of the main museums in DC and loved them! If I can't get into them this trip, I'm okay with it. My goal is a trip to the WH, and I have an "in" that can make that possible regardless of shutdown.
Maui is the problem this year. We should've made reservations long before now, but got busy building and moving. Trying to find a condo during whale season now is like "a needle in a haystack, so we may have to plan that later this year.

I totally get what you're saying now! lol! I misread that one! I agree with you on all accounts about Yellowstone. I've always wanted to see the park during Winter. Hopefully, that will happen one day. The hubs has been following the volcanic activity in the park. You're right - the changes could make for a very interesting year!

Thanks, I'm waiting on a couple of things to get clearer to firm up the schedule between Rome and getting to Puy du Fou. Wanting to try for a Collossium at Night tour and a late afternoon Doge's Palace and evening St. Mark's Tour with a day in Florence in between. Florence can't be on Monday as Accademia is closed. If I can get the Collosium tour on a Fri or Sat night, we'll do Florence on Sun, leave Florence late morning on Monday and roll into Venice early Monday Afternoon, Tuesday drive thru Italian Alps to Fussen, spend the night and then get to Europa Park and fly to Nantes for Puy du Fou. We eant to squeeze in Rhine Falls from Fussen to Europe and squeeze in Lictenstein as well just say we have been there.

A quiet year for me this year. Maybe a trip to Yellowstone again in the summer. I will decide last minute depending on the thermal activity. Then a Mule deer and antelope hunting trip to Wyoming in October.
2020 will be back to Russia.
St. Petersburg instead of Moscow this time, Czech Republic. then Bavarian Germany again. Then it will be on to the scandinavian countries.
Norway,Finland and Sweden. Probably will hike in Switzerland again for a few days.
I will not plan ahead but just play it by ear. Buy a Eurorail pass and play it a day at a time. When I go to Europe I have found it is better to just stay away from the tourists traps and find the hidden things that are gems.

A few things on the calendar at this point:
Feb 19-26 Walt Disney World with my daughter, including a day at Universal Orlando
May 20-24 approx Kentucky, including the Ark, Creation museum, and a day at the St Louis Zoo on the way home
July 22-Aug 5 Orlando, including Disney and hopefully Sea World, Busch, and maybe Legoland if we can work those in. We'll have business meetings the last 5 days of that or so.
Oct 1-7 Disneyland in CA First time back there in 15 years so really excited about that.
Who knows what else will pop up, but if it's like the last couple of years we'll likely have a couple of other things added to it as well.

We booked a cabin at Yellowstone late August. This will be the first time we've gone and not camped. We'll end with a couple nights camping in Bridger Natl Forest. Yay for the cabin, warmth, hot showers, internet... but I already miss the camping experience.

You have to have a kid with you to get entry into Lego Discovery Center; they have adult-only nights once or twice a month where that rule is suspended, but for the most part, if you're an adult, you gotta have a kid with you to go there.

Kid must be 12 or under as well. I mean I get the rule, because of their target demographic but it’s also a pain for us adults that enjoy Legos that don’t have kids. For me I’m more interested in the Mini-Land and the rides, Theatre and model builder school than the little kid stuff. Oh well. I’ve done it before with a media pass

It’s really well done. I’ll see if I can’t fund an old PTR of it. It wasn’t any problem for me getting in when it first opened because the Master Model Builder was a fraternity brother of mine and I’d get to go up and watch/help him build in the lab. Unfortunately he left a couple years ago to go back into teaching (much less stressful)

Well, somee things have come up since my last post on my planned Euro trip. Life has a plenty of obstacles for even the best laid plans. Our Son was diagnosed with ITP which is basically a very low blood platelet count. We were extremely worried that it was Lukemia at first, he had a bone marrow biospy and that did not show anything. They started hin on Prednisone steriods and he had an initial positive response but his numbers have fallen again. So, we are to start Rituxan IV treatment this coming week. 4 treatments spaced out over 4 weeks. Hopefully this will do it otherwise we are looking at removing his spleen and getting refered to Arkansas Childrens. Needless to say, it was a good thing I took out insurance on this thing. We are still operating under the assumption this will still happen. The Dr. Seems to think we can work around this. There have been some tweeks.
Sat-XNA-ORD-LHT. Booked! We have a very long layover 8am to 9:30 pm. We'll hit up a pizza place in Chicago for lunch go up one of the towers and catch the Cubs/Reds game at Wrigley at 1:05pm before getting back to ORD at 6 to 6:30pm.
Sun- We touch down at 11:30am. There is an arrival lounge we can take in and grab a snack and a drink before we head to the Heathrow Express to Paddington. There it is a very short walk/taxi ride to our 2br apt rental. We have nothing planned. We don't know how we'll feel or how much sleep we'll get on the redeye. If we are overcome by excitement, we'll head out into London to do something.
Mon and Tues- objectives are the same, Changing if the Guards, Tower of London, Churchill War Rooms, V&A , British Museum. Anything else is extra.
Wed, we don't know what we'll do just yet. It will either be a theme park between London and Salisbury/Bath or touring the country side and stay in and around Salisbury/Bath or we will book it to Alton Towers for the day and come back toward Salisbury and hit up a B&B in the Cotswolds for the night. Either way, we'll be leaving London.
Thur- Salisbury/Bath area a mid afternoon visit to the Stonehenge Visitor Center leave for Dinner and be back before 8PM for our Inner Circle tour. Stayong at a very nearby Holiday Inn so we can get to bed afterwards.
Friday will be busy as we'll end up at Efteling that night. We'll get up eay grab some Breakfast and head toward London. We'll have time for a couple of things. I'm thinking maybe Legoland Windsor before we have to be at St. Pancreas station for our Eurostar Chunnel train trip to Brussels. We might hit up the RAF museum. It depends on what we do on Wed. It would be much cheaper to fly but the Wife and Kids are facinated with the Chunnel train.
(The thought is to get a Merlin UK pass that allows us to visit any Merlin attraction in the UK. That includes the London Eye, Sealife and The Dungeon there in London,. On Wed and Fri, we can choose Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Legoland, Windsor Castle, ect, ect ect, going to and leaving Stonehenge.
Fri, Sat, Sun- staying at Efteling. We'll do the park either Sat or Sun depending on weather, the other day will be an Amsterdam day trip with the objectives on Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum and a canal cruise.
Mon-Leave Efteling pretty early and head to Phantasialand. We'll do Phantasialand on Monday and stay on site at Hotel Matamba that night.
Tues- either stay at Phantasialand for the day before heading back to Brussels or explore Aachen and Colonge before heading to Brussels. I would like to hit up the Bastonge area, we'll see. Only thing set i stone is a hotel stay in Brussels.
Wed- flight to Barcelona, Tibidabo Amusement park in late afternoon to Sunseta, Tapas late night.
Thurs- Our Guadi Day, visits to major Guadi places like La Familia Segura, Parc Guell, Casa Batlo. More tapas that evening.
Fri- leave early for PortAventura, drop off our bags at the new Hotel Colorado River. They'll take them to the room when it is ready. Room comes with tickets to PortAventura/Ferrari Land with express pass wristbands and breakfast buffet. It consists of a double bed and two twins. So a new room in a deluxe hotel, 4 tickets to the themeparks with express passes, four buffets breakfast meals for a hair under $400. We we able to book it with my Chase Points so it also basically had a 25% discount. Compare to a night on resort at Disneyland Paris with tickets, this is a steal.
Sat- Cruise departure day, we'll check out and hit up the Roman Ruins in Tarragona, there is a great section of an aquaduct and amp in the area. We'll drive along the coast to Barcelona, I'll drop off the others and luggage at the port and then drop off the car nearby and take the metro to meet back up. We'll board around 2pm. I'm not one of those must get on as soon as you can types.
Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur,- cruise days and port excursions.
Visit Eze, Cinque Terre, Pisa/Lucca or other Tuscan village and Pompeii.
Fri off at Rome. Have an apt rental near the Vatican , either a night visit to the Sistine and St. Peters or early Sat morning for a more involved tour.
Sat- Rome sites like Trevi, Spainish Steps, Borghese
Sun- Florence day trip by high speed, late night tour of Colosseum
Mon- early train to Venice, night tour of St Marks.
Tues, early visit to Doge Palace and then an early afternoon train to Munich. Stay near the Central station and hit up Hofbrau for the night.
Wed, either take the early train to Strasbourg or rent a car and drive to Fussen to see the Snow White Castle and back and then train to Strasbourg. Either way we'll be staying at the new Rulantica hotel at Europa till Sat. So sad the water park will not be done, it looks awesome.
It has crossed our mind to cancel the first night a Europa and stay along the way after Fussen and get there in Thurs. I found the one way car rentals from Italy to Germany astronomically high but point to point in Germany is much more manageable. However, cross over to Strasbourg and it becomes much more expensive again though nothin like the Italy to German charge.(nearly 1k for the one way fee alone)
If we skip the Fussen day trip from Munich, we'll daytrip one day to Rhine Falls and some nearby Castles.
On Sat, we'll train to Nantes and wind up at Puy du Fou that night for the big show This would a high speed/direct train, about 6hr.
Sun- Puy du Fou
Mon- Puy to Mont St. Michel to Bayeux
Tue- D-Day sites
Wed- Bayuex Tapistry to Giverny(Monet's Garden) to Paris (Disneyland)
Thur- Disneyland w/Studios with the add on fast pass tickets
Fri- Paris proper, Louvre, d'Orsay, Catacombs
Sat- More Paris am. Afternoon at Versailles with the night fireworks show.
Mon- here is where this trip currently ends. We'll hold off and see how my Son responds to his treatment before going farther but the ideal is to to go to Copenhagen and then to Stockholm or back to Spain to hit Madrid instead, or Dublin/Ireland. It will depend on award flight availibilty as well. If that is the case, we may come back to the States and do Boston/ NY but this will be the week of the 4th so it will be slamed.
That is pretry much the final rough draft. Most hotel stays and tours have been booked, even the Versailles fireworks show.
We decided to train as much as possible on high speed lines so as to not worry so much about baggages fees over flights.
That said, sometimes the flights are srupid cheap, we are flying Brussels to Barcelona for 20 per person but it'll be 200 by the time we add a couple of check ins and seat assignments. We may change the plan and stay in Venice all day of that Tue and take the night train to Munich but I think a train ride through the Alps in daylight might be nice.

Son's first of 4 treatments start this Tues. Hoping for the best.

Looks like an incredible trip. Wishing you guys the best and lifting up prayers for your son and his treatments.
We just got back from the first WDW trip of the year and starting to work on videos of it now. First one (the actual trip there and arrival) should be posted up tomorrow. Then over the next 3-4 weeks I'll have the rest of the trip getting posted up. Only about 3000 photos and video clips to sort through. lol
May we're still hoping for Kentucky and the ark/ creation museum, but the snow and ice keeps adding snow days to my wife's school calendar, so really hoping we're done with that or it may affect that trip.

Qe are now one month away from Europe 2019. Things have been tweeked, Alton Towers was dropped. It is still Memorial Day Weekend to the weekend after July 4th(a Thurs).
On the Theme Park end

We have stays booked at:
Port Aventura on opening day of Hotel Colorado Creek. Hope the toilets flush. Room comes with breakfast buffet and Express passes.
Europa Park at the new Kronasar Hotel.
A cottage on a lake at Puy du Fou
A park view room at Hotel Ling Bao at Phantasialand. This was their Sunday One Night Special, two days of tickets for 4, breakfast buffet for all and a single use Express Pass for each person both days in park. We also get 1 hr of ERT after the park closes on Taron and Raik. Sadly it looks highly doubtful FLY will be done by July.
And finally, we have a Tree House room with Breakfast buffet booked at Efteling. Two big bottles of their own Blond Ales are ordered to be waiting on me.
I have about a 5 day gap between Puy Du Fou and Phantasialand. The thought is we would fly to Copenhagen and hit Tivoli and back before Phantasialand. I have found out that Copenhagen is the most expensive place to stay this trip, I can get much more value for my points elsewhere, but Tivoli. The airfare is dog cheap, EasyJet with upgraded seats and two cabin bags for 4 is under $200 and the flight to Brussels is covered under my Excursionist perk via United with SAS with about 100 bucks in taxes. So, $25 bucks for a nonstop Copenhagen to Brussels. If I can't decide to swallow the hotel prices, we will fill in the gap with more days in France before taking a train to Brussels. I have to poop or get off the park on this, it the only days not booked, stay wise.
I have some wiggle room to squeeze in a couple of other parks, I depends on the Wife really. Walibi Holland and Toverland or Moviepark are possibilities.
The Daughter and I are hoping taking a side trip to Holiday Park just for Expedition Ge Gorce during our stay at Europa. Hopefully The Wife and son(neither coaster nuts) will let us do it while they hang at Europa.
Our first time to use teains as travel has us during the Eurostar(London to Paris), the Freccas (Rome to Florence, Florence to Venice), Eurocity (Venice to Munich via Brenner Pass) and Oui TGV (Strasbourg to Nantes). We'll use the local/Regional trains at Cannes to get to Eze, Genoa to visit Cinque Terre, Naples to get to Pompeii and to get around in Paris/Rome/Barcelona.

That sounds like an absolutely incredible trip. Hope you've got a ton of memory cards for the cameras.
Versailles is stunning- some in good ways, some in bad ways. I had to keep reminding myself to close my mouth, I was gaping so much.
If you have time, take one of the cruises on the Seine river. Absolutely gorgeous. And honestly, doing that and visiting the Arc de Triomphe you'll get just as good a view and a much shorter wait than the tower.
Not sure if you've shopped cell companies yet on that sim card, but Orange was absolute junk for us in France last year. But I'm not sure what other options there are.
Looking forward to seeing the photos. it sounds like a tremendous trip.

We got a timed ticket for going up to the tip top on Eiffle. No line waiting.
The Main reason we were going to Versailles on a Sat knowing it is busy is due to the recent Yellow Vest protests on Sat in Paris. We were looking to avoid it. If I don't do Copenhagen, we can hit it in that gap. I want to visit Tivoli, but I'd like to hit up Liseburg and Gronalund among others on a different trip. May save it.

This year, Fort Ticonderoga is hosting me (and 11 other teachers) for a week. It will be another intense week of learning from scholars, handling artifacts, participating in historic trades, taking a boat tour of Lake Champlain, rowing the bateau, seeing the muskets and cannon firing at night, and looking down on the entire valley from Mount Defiance. Our week at Ticonderoga is focused on comparing two world wars: the French and Indian War and World War I. I'm excited to see Vermont and Upstate New York for the first time, and not having to pay for any of it.Colonial and Revolutionary history is awesome.

I have been having SO much fun traveling with my friends, helping them run their manga library. I get to see new cities and states and I get to TRAVEL. I love traveling.

Yeah, we rode Zippin Pippin last year, and it was GREAT. One ride at Bay Beach that I highly recommend skipping, though, is the Scat ride... That was beyond vomit-inducing (I didn't, but if I'd had food in my stomach, I probably would have).

All things appear a go for Europe. Reports on Disneyland Paris, Port Aventura, Europa Park, Puy du Fou, Tivoli Gardens, Phantasialand and Eftleing will be on the way over the next two months. There may be others like Tibidabo, Holiday Park, Walibi Belgium, Toverland but those are big ifs.

Family Vacation this year was a hard choice. When/Where/Who/How was all up for debate. Due to putting it off so long.....kinda went with the boring choice (compared to cruises and foreign adventures)
Ended up getting air/car deal for early July to Orlando for an 8 day getaway. The plan is to hit a couple of parks for a couple days (probably SeaWorld/Busch or Universal) either at the start or end....then relax on a beach the rest of the week. I've been looking at cocoa beach rentals (kids want to do surf lessons) on like VRBO. Anyone have a money saving tips or advices on where to book or other non-disney/tourist trap things to do? I'm trying to book a charter boat for fishing/dolphin watching already. I figured this group could give me some ideas. This area is so popular it makes planning actually harder.

Just got back a couple of hours ago from our 4 day trip to check out the Ark Encounter/ Creation Museum (pretty cool- happy we were sent comp tickets for being pastors a while back), the St. Louis Zoo (really fantastic zoo! And gotta love that it's free) and Six Flags St. Louis (It's SFStL, what da ya want?) Videos will be coming in the next couple of weeks on the channel for all of them. Neat trip and happy we got to go. We'd really like to go back and visit the zoo again- it was probably the highlight of the trip for us.

I was waiting to get home to start my reports but I just finished up Europa Park. Stunning, absolutely stunning. Impressed beyond expectations. Spotless and the landscaping, BG-Williamsburg isn't even in the same ballpark.

I changed my plans around for this summer and am now all booked for a quick trip to Orlando in August. I was going to head out to Kennykon, but there was so much up in the air for me this year that I didn't get my air and hotel tickets locked down and the prices skyrocketed, among other issues. Just wasn't worth it this time, but it's on the list for next year definitely.
I'm planning on hitting up both Fun Spots, Magic Kingdom, and Seaworld. I was tempted to try and do BG Tampa, but I think I'll come back and hit it when the new RMC is built and broken in a bit.

BG in Tampa isn't as easy to get to as it once was as I-4 is a nightmare these days.
I didn't snap near enough pics on the queues at Europa. Wodan with it's glowing blue glass and the Thors Hammer pre show was top notch. The amount of animatronics for a simple, average wild mouse coaster was excessive in a food way. The best thing about the coaster was the elevator lift that rocked side to side.
Mack has the spiral lift down withbit being used on EuroMir and the new Moulin Rouge ride in their small epcot ball. I can see them using it for a new FITH at SDC. Again, all I know is that SDC missed out on Mack doing a show building for the first launch of Time Traveler. After seeing Europa park is all the more disappointing. Arthur is an amazing ride with its little indoor section with a slide and such. If someone got them to thrill up the coaster a bit it could be even more amazing than it is. I'm sure the coast of that ride leaves it only availible to the Disney and Universals of the world. They could absolutely do groundbreaking studf with their IPs with that. All I could think is a revamped Peter Pan with this system
We arrive at Phantasialand tomorrow, plan on swimming in the afternoon at the Ling Bao pool and getting our afterhour hotel guest ride time on Taron. Spending the whole day Mon at the park. Right now I'm sitting in Aachen with a Radler in my hand after our visit to Copenhagen . We landed at Chaleroi and planned on hitting up the Walibi near there. Nope, no way. After two amazing days at Copenhagen with a perfect evening in Tilovi in the mid 60s we came back to the hell that is mainland Europe right now. It is only supposed to be 80 tommorrow though. When we left Puy du Fou and our time in Normandy(cool temps there) and headed to Mont St. Michel and then to Nantes it was 98 without the heat index added in. Talk about swamp balls.

We know that SDC high ups did tour Europa Park. This park is littered with special effects and animatronics, littered.
Wodan and couple of other queues had snack stands midway, Wodan even had a restroom at about the 30 minute away mark. Here is a decent walk through of Wodan's queue. The 5 :20 mark gets you close to the Thor's hammer bit where it "shakes" the timbers and moves the floor

Phantasialand Trip Report.
Taron is awesome. The second launch is what makes it. It shoots you up a waterfall and you feel the splashes as you zoom by. Head choppers galore, there's an awesome airtine hill at the beginning and end. Experience them in the back and the head coppers and launches in front. The only complaint is the second quick side to side switch after the first launch can be painful. During regular hours you are assignesd the rows in which you will sit. That is what made the hotel guest 1 hr after close special, you could choose. Single rider does you no good it seems on wait times.
Raik, the Vekoma shuttle coaster that is junior to Toraon for the little one. It is OK. I'd much rather have a Vekoma junior invert.
Chipas, their relatively new log flume is outstanding. Two big drops with one backwards. Excellent themeing through out and the last, massive drop is water coaster like and thrilling
This is the best 'log flume' I've been on.
Black Mamba, excellent B&M invert. Still very smooth.
The centerpiece of the Africa area and really only ride all framed by Hotel Matamba.
Colorado River Mine Train. All references to Micheal Jackson is toast. This ride is jerky but fun. The trains are extremely long and there's some airtime to be had at a coast of it being more jerky than the front. No more jerky than Powerkeg really but it is long so it adds up.
Wingas Fear and Force. I perfered Fear. Each has some trick tricks treatments that make them a bit different. Really don't spin as much as you think they would. Plus on it being indoors with another ride placed in the middle of them.
River Quest, their raft ride, has evevator lift to a large drop that can drench you. Couple of other drops that can get you. Not much of a river feel, it's just a ride on water with plenty static props to keep it in theme to medeval times.
Mystery Castle is also part of the medieval area. It is lauch/drop tower combo, it is much like Hollywood Tower with a little umpff. The effects are rather sparse.
Chocolate e Mouse, a dark ride for the younger set. Their take on Rat at Disneyland Paris Studios.
There are other rides but They are older and I'm not taking the time on them.
The park's areas are well themed, they have well themed queues but are more akin to SDC. Sparse animatronics, hust well done formed concrete and static props. You can see the other Countries from each other so the transitions isn't as well done as Disney or Europa. Inside the park ffod is good and reasonable for theme parks. You could get a big basket of fries for around 3 in us dollars. We had a 10 chicken nuggets that were decent with fries and a coke, a big order of chicken lo mien and a basket of 5 spring rolls for 18 euro. Portions were good and it fed us well. As with all parks I've been to, we brought in a backpark full of snacks and and a couple of liter bottles of soda. Phantasialand didn't even search at the hotel gates. If I was foing to build a park. I'd model it after Phantasialand in terms of set up with a bit betrer job of seperating the very well done regions. Once again, they do everything they can to make the most of their space with you ofter finding a major ride incorporating smaller rides, often kiddie, within it's footprint.
FLY looks like it will be intriguing.
I Want to come back for their winter season some day as park of a christmas market trip much Like I want to hit up Europa again one day as part of Octoberfest.
I feel no need to ever visit Port Aventura or Puy du Fou again. Great Parks and I'll report on them.
Tivoli is amazing for what it is but I also am not goint out of my way to get back though we plan on a Northern Europe cruise one day. Copenhagen has been the most expensive town to visit. Be prepared if you ever go. Paris was cheaper overall. I'll be doing a report on every park but did this one while drinking some beer and eating some bratwurst at Gulden Brauhaus in Mulheim on the banks of the Rhine. On our transition night from Phantasialand to Efteling. I like Bavaria much better but it was cool seeing Charlemange's tomb at Aachen. These towns were damaged so much by WW2, they just have too much a post war feel and the graffiti is even that good compared to other places. It hasn't been too hard to communicate, hell thay all play english laungue music. Anyone under 30 seem well versed in English. Copenhagen, some don't even have accents and you see a mix of Danish and English all over the place.

No, we flew home yesterday. We drove through Antwerp on the 5th and it appeared to be a massive fun fair there but we had to get close to BRU for our flight. Antwerp traffic is fierce.

After having seen it, I'm as convinced as ever. The Star Fyler has a unique ride program. Fairly lenghty and you go up to the peak and down several times. Fantasic views, exactly what one on Mud Island would iffer up with the Pyramid, the Mississippi River and the Bridges and Sky Line, especially at night with the new lighting programs on both crossings. We like the new version of the Huss Condor. It is two rides in one with the two different seating option for over 50 people a cycle. It is actually three rides and the tower is mounted to a huge concrete cylinder and thebloading platform is elevated. Underneath is a bumper car type ride that goes around the cylinder, thus giving you three experiences/rides in a single footprint. That would be something that would have to be used on Mud Island to max out sspace.the newer, covered, wild flat right next to the Star Flyer was the big hit, my kids rode in over a dozen times. How they made the area under the tiny but very fun B&M into midway games, shops and eateries was brilliant, the botanical park like areas made it all feel spacious. The variety of foods were great, they lease place out to outside vendors, the food hall was great, prices weren't horrible(speaking in terms of already very expensive Copenhagen) less than 4 bucks for a beer if you returned your plastic cup for the deposit and that is basically the same price for a soda. The Air race was fun for the kids, they rode it multiple times but that contraption by the Star Flyer stole the show. Loved the hand brake coaster and it was a bit more fun than I would have thought. I can see it being really fun if the brakeman was really adventurous.

@Chittlins Nice photos! Love the two arms on the Condor with the seats facing outwards like that. That would be a fun way to ride it instead of the typical seating, like on the other 2. They aren't the first place I've seen with the Condor on top of another attraction, but I wish more would do things like that. Especially parks pressed for space.

The fact that they put a ride underneath it was icing on the cake. Think circluar, track line bumper car ride. Would love for SDC to get one of those Condors but with what happened with the topple tower, not a chance.
The outward facing seats tilt as well

I see Swoosh loves Top Thrill. We loved the Ferrari Land one at Port Aventura, our most recent similar ride was Kingda Ka. We much prefered this one as it has the new Intimin resteains much like those in Time Traveler and it was sooooooo much more comfortable. That segways me to Port Aventura, the most American of the parks(once was a Universal). We stayed at the new Hotel Colorado. Very limited food options at the hotel outside of the Disney expensive buffet at night, the Breakfast was good and included. No fridges in rooms, no ice to be found. This was very typical of European hotels across the board. I was teally impressed with the Old West, Mexico and Italy areas while less impressed with the Asia area where the two biggies are at. We like Shambala very much. Oh Furious Baco is deserves all the piling on but was the longest wait of the day, even 20 minutes in the fast pass lane.
Place needs more shade but it was on 81 with breeze when we were there

Just got back from the 2.5 week Florida trip, right on the tails of a week in KC, including a day at Worlds of Fun.
The Worlds of Fun vlog was posted a couple of weeks back. That park has some serious issues they need to work on with air conditioning, shade, etc. Just as bad as it was 2 weeks ago, and a lot of building A/C wasn't working right. Not good, and not something I've seen at any other park like that.
The vlogs from Busch Gardens, Sea World, Disney, and Six Flags over Georgia will all be posting over the next 2-4 weeks. Had a blast at every park, and was really impressed with the Six Flags park. Great coasters and rides at each, but Sea World's Mako was easily the cream of the crop on this trip. Wow, what a ride it was.
Less than 2 weeks until Frontier City where I'll be doing a telethon livestream raising money for Give Kids the World during the Coasting for Kids event. Hope you'll join me there!

What a terrific experience in the French fort, holding a document signed by King Louis XIV, rowing on Lake Champlain in an authentic reproduction French bateau, learning the craft of shoemaking, driving oxen, learning about the French and Indian War and comparing it to WWI, and more.
