Title: VIP Tour
Post by: Silverfan on June 15, 2018, 09:51:54 AM
Has anyone done the VIP tour?  I know it is very expensive but I was wondering if it might make visiting during Christmas time more enjoyable and more efficient.  Thoughts?

I've heard several references to it this week, but have never heard of it before then. Sounds intriguing!

Never have done it and at $199.00 never will. I do not see what they have to offer that would be worth that kind of outlay. Visiting at Christmas is not that difficult if you plan the correct days and avoid Saturdays. What if you lay out this kind of cash and it is to cold for the rides to operate ?  On most days the shows are viewable if you plan your day around it.

But then its your dough. That is a decision you need to make.

I remember them starting this years ago and then forgot all about it.

For the cost, there's not much reason for many of us to take notice since most of us go so often anyway and know how to manage with crowds and such. It's really meant more for minor celebrities or just well off people who want to be treated like royalty.

I think I've seen it be used a couple of times. You basically get your own SDC handler to let you into all the rides through the exits. It causes all kinds of complaints though... I think some of the Trailblazer complaints are actually caused by just a few people using the VIP system. Trailblazer merges you into the line, but the VIP system is a literal skip the line pass as I understand it.

It might make the Christmas experience more enjoyable... if you can ignore the glares from the people you bump in the station. I think it makes more sense to save the $200, get their early, get your ride on Time Traveler, and enjoy the rest of the park at your leisure. Sure, it can be crowded at points, but at Christmas time you can focus on the lights if nothing else.

Shoot, pay me $20 and I'll give you a schedule of how to go about seeing all of the shows and getting on all the rides. ;)

Can you skip lines and guarantee best show seats without having to wait?
