SDCFans love meeting each other at the park! If you would like to meet up with another member during an upcoming visit or see who else will be at the park, post about it here.

I am bringing my family at the beginning of March for BG&BBQ. I was hoping to find fellow fans going that would have passes to donate to the cause. They are coming all the way from Montana and I guess they don't have cool things like this where they live. There will be 14 of them and I know however many tickets they can get would help. So if you could donate to the cause that would be AWESOME!!! Thanks.

Seems like the best way to meet up is in front of the old fire wagon tower BEFORE the chain drops. I've met many of SDCFans, this way. It's always a pleasure to do so, however, sometimes my schedule doesn't allow it~

I own a little house over in Crane Mo. About 30 min outside of Branson. I hate to give it up but I think I am going to have to sell it this year. I am getting married and am going to have buy a new home for us.

They are calling for rain... if it is raining...we will be later. In case of rain we will be doing breakfast at Billy Gails, then hit the city... if nothing else to go through the turnstylses and check out the square....

Also if you are in town, (Branson).. sat evening, we will be sitting outside at homestay with the bonfire going... come on by.... fire starts about 10..!! bring your choice of beverage.....

I will be there Sunday, but I am on a tight schedule so won't be able to meet up. I will have an update on all of the changes next week on MiG. Make sure you take a trip down to Grand Expo as there are some significant changes there -- also don't overlook the area by Boatworks Theater.

We did end up making it for about a week...rode the Outlaw Run quite a few times and actually met Brad Thomas as he was on the viewing deck when we got off the ride...

Waiting for it to warm up a tad more but then we will hit SDC! Very excited. Needed our SDC fix. Hubby had to work yesterday or we would have been there. Hope to be there by 11. ☺️👏☺️👏☺️

We will be back to the city on sunday the 27th, Anxious to see the World fest activities and decorations, will return the following weekend on sunday the 4th, to wrap up the festivities...
will be staying at Classic sat and sun nites if anyone wants to try to meet up..
then looking forward to blugrass and BBQ, late in may, on memorial weekend.
Will be at homestay memorial weekend...(maybe)... LOL.

Likely we will not be in Branson this year. (Thank God we didnt buy SDC passes early on-like we always have in years past).
It is nice to have a job I actually enjoy now. However I can see burnout coming fast if they dont hire a 2nd driver soon. Working 8-6 Mon-Fri, 9-3 Sat. makes a long work week.

Sanddune....it's still Winter here.....the snow is going fast.....only about 6" left :) We are coming down to Branson the Wednesday after Memorial Day and staying foe 2 weeks or so..... Getting anxious for warmer weather.

Well they have changed my schedule a bit now. I am now working every other Saturday on rotation. I have this Saturday off.
Mothers day weekend we are camping. Memorial Weekend (Im off). I will be hitching a ride with my brother to Denver. We are going to move my other brother back here. (Guess since I drive big motorhomes/busses/trailers/ETC) he wants me to drive the Uhaul truck and trailer pulling their car. (Hmmmm) those trucks are not as big as the 45' busses I move around everyday. Sounds like a days work. (Well a days work without a days pay) Mark will make it all good though.
Sure will be nice having my brother back home.
Back on subject. I will be off on July 4th weekend now too. We have (tentative) plans to find Branson that weekend.

We will be in SDC May 12 and 14th. Looking forward to it! Our first time back in 2 years! We are going to see Jonah at Sight and Sound on the 13th. And we are staying at The Falls (Blue-Green) with friends who reserved the room with their points. I've never stayed in a time-share, so I hope it works out well.

I'm taking a quick vacation with my folks to SDC next weekend. I'll be in the park all day Saturday and on Sunday morning. If anyone else will be there and wants to put a face with the name just let me know.

I'm planning on being in Branson for Memorial Day weekend, and I'm currently planning on being at SDC on Sunday (and maybe late Saturday for a while, depending on when I get to town and can get into my motel). Currently, I'm planning on dressing in red (Spirit of St. Louis Air Show and STEM Expo t-shirt), white (tennis shoes) and blue (Navy shorts). ;-)
I haven't met any of you yet, so if you see me say "Hi" and mention your on the forum. Always glad to make new friends. :-)

Sunday, the 25th.. we will be there at opening. We will be on the east side of the steam fire engine on the square, aorund 9 - 9:15, waiting for opening ceremony... will have on sleeveless denim shirt, denim jeans, and my black "cowboy" hat.... Hope to meet some new people this weekend.....
AND keep in mind, sat evening about 10:00, there will be several of us at Homestay hanging out... Yes she is closed, But we know the manager "real" well!!! LOL... bring drink of your choice and come join us..!!!

Day 2: SDC! (Unless something else decides to leak).

I never met any of the group on Sunday, but I still had a good time with lots of great bluegrass music and BBQ. :-)
Unfortunately, the GAC Country Nights show was canceled after only a couple of songs in the second set because of lightning in the area. :-(

We're heading down tomorrow night (5/28) and will stay till Friday evening. We plan to be in the city most of Thursday and Friday.
Last coupla-three months have been a nightmare at work--gonna enjoy getting down ot the city!

I'll try to get over there. We're getting there early, and I'll drop of the family, but I'm also going to hit the Grand Village to take some of my books to the bookstore there to sell. I don't know how early I will get back. I'll look for purple and a cast. Not sure what I'm going to wear yet.

Visit with Parson Lee at the church, or with the people who arrange special events there like weddings. Or call the park and ask the people who schedule Sunday meetings at the church to call you back. I know way back in my time there a local ministerial alliance swapped turns.

In you're near Branson, stop by T. Charleston's Books and Gifts in the Grand Village Shops. I will be signing copies of my books there, Thursday, sometime after lunch.

Hello SDC Fans. Just a note to say we made it to Branson where we've been camping all week on Indian Point and enjoying this delicious weather! Yesterday and today were absolutely perfect weatherwise, and it's been a real treat. We plan to be in The City this weekend, and probably next weekend too, and would love to meet up with fellow SDC Fans.

Looks like I will be bringing the boys to the BoyScout Out on sept 20. Wife won't be making the trip (claims to be allergic to tent camping), but on the upside we will be introducing the park to another scout we're bringing along.

Just got back last night. Tent camping with hundreds of Boy Scouts at the Wilderness was a blast. Was so busy preparing for the campout that I forget to check the forum.

I was at the Classic Motor Inn on 9/21 and 9/22. Nice place. Got to meet Buddy and Chico. Don't have SDC passes this year and no $$$ for all that. Just kind of hung around Branson for a couple days. ;D ;D

Long time no been here - life gets int he way.
Anyway, the wife and I are scheduled to be at the City this Saturday, 10/4, from open till 5 or 6. This will probably be our only fall trip during prior to OTC. We've got resxervations at Classic Motor Inn Friday night.

cool! my brother & his wife are driving down from KC & meeting me there, ( aint sure yet if we will have City breakfast ) i will be in my regular motel the night before. we're gunna stay at SDC till probably 3-4 pm & head back to KC. this will be the 1st time i have driven to City all by myself.

We're going to hit up the City for the Harvest Fest this week--either Friday afternoon for a little while, or on Saturday. I can't remember the last time we actually went to SDC on a Saturday, we try to avoid it when possible. But we still need one more festival!

Sanddune....we got to Branson a day early on Tuesday and in order for us to get another night, they put us in 111, so we could have all of the nights in the same room.... it's coldddd.

This has been a cold, sloppy weather weekend. We have had sleet, freezing rain, rain, and snow. We are just over an hour south of the park. I must complement anyone brave enough to venture out. How was attendence? Did you have the park to yourself?

Not many on the park. Was beautiful with the snow on the Christmas lights and trees.We were surprised that more weren't at the park with it being so Christmasy. Since we are from Northern WI. The weather didn't bother us at all. We had over 17" of snow at home last Tuesday and it was -11 the night before last.

Junior, FYI. Sat about 7,000 people. Sunday,,,,,,,,1488 :o :o :o, and stayed open all day....
We changed our sunday plans, found a warm bar with football and had drinks instead.. we have 3 more trips planned so we have plenty of time to see the city..
