as it is right now...

HB needs 230 more posts until he reaches 2,000
At his current average of 1.732 posts per day
He will reach 2,000 in 132.794457 days
Which would be on or around Jan 2, 2011

Junior needs 985 more posts until he reaches 2,ooo
At his current average of 4.491 posts per day
He will reach 2,000 in 219.327544 days
Which would be on or around March 30, 2011

This means that at their current rates,
HB would reach 2,000 86.5 days earlier than HB

To win, Junior would need to raise his average to over 7.465 posts per day in order to tie HB. This means he would need adding 2.974 more posts per day for the next 132 days.

All of this Despite a difference of 2 years 2 months, and 3 days between registration dates (HB being the earlier of the two)

That would take me 381 more days to reach 2,000
That would be on or around Aug 08, 2011

In order for me to reach 2,000 when HB does, I would have to up my daily average from 1.940 to 5.6 posts per day-a raise by 3.6 per day...

What is funny is that my prior number was mathematically an estimate based on my current posting rate, etc. Factoring in the time away, and single or no post days, I had 8/8 as my date...I am one day ahead of schedule! August 7, 2011...here I come! (That is when I will hit 2K) So you all know when to order the ice cream cake for...I am a big fan of cannoli cake if you happen to be here on "the hill" in StL, but I would take a big, fresh cinnamon roll from Eva and Delilah's with 2 candles in it anyday!

I am ahead by about 15 days for my attempt to reach 2,000

Goal is now June 23 , 2011

Gotta love your tenacity, but the statistics things is a little frightening.  I just took the longest break from SDCFans since signing on, and my average has dropped.  I hate that I'm letting you guys catch up to me, but between school, church, and a new baby, my time has been required elsewhere.  That doesn't negate my passion for the site though.

Easy math, even for me.

Number of posts remaining until goal...
divided by avg. posts per day...
gives you the numer of days remaining until your goal.

Add that number to the date today, and you get your goal date!

(-I do alot of stats, and workout plans for athleteswhere I coach, so I am used to avg miles per day, mph, race results, etc. so It was an easy transition to posts per day!)

The interesting thing is, we may not be too far off. :)

Spending time on SDCFans.com allows me to take a break from my fast paced, hectic lifestyle, and gives me time to just relax, and reflect with friends on our fond experiences at Silver Dollar City. They say that those at peace, live the longest. ;D

Hey Ozark, your thought just above there is just how I feel about this site. I have found relaxation in SDC, RFD-TV, and places like Cracker Barrel and Bass Pro. This site feels like an extension to the park and makes you feel like SDC isnt quite as closed as it really is.

Is it true that there is a "hidden" hewn log cabin with craftsman produced amenities in the woods just off park (behind the town square) for 2000 post club members to relax and rest in between rides and shows? I can hardly wait to get my club key and learn the secret password and handshake. I'll bring along some of my "citizen" keepsakes to decorate the cabin, or to help stock the SDCFans.com museum we are planning to put in there.

Thanks for taking care of those SDCFans loitering around our club entrance HB. I hate having the private stage coach pull up to the cabin, and having to wiat for the Deputy to remove said individuals before I exit the coach. By the way I heard the Apple Turnovers were late this morning, we are going to have to have a talk with bakery if this continues...

Oh boy! I can hardly wait. I heard in 2011 the perk list includes back and foot massage service by the saloon girls. Now, after post 3,000 one of the Herschend grandchildren with a drivers license will come and pick you up curbside at home, after post 4000 you may have face time with Jack or Pete, after post 5000, limo service courtesy of the park, and in the evening you sit at the Captain's table on Showboat Branson Belle.  ;)

In fact I did, it is going to start with a preview of the Worldfest New show the Mayorov Russian State Circusand finish with the Homestead Pickers.

We will be having the ribs again, I hope that's okay, I am somewhat fond of them so I thought we would have them again for a second time this week. I also think we will be having the ice cream delivered fresh, I chose the mint chip, they are still waiting to hear from you before they deliver.

We usually contract the architecture and the decor to the 2K Post Club Central Office in Georgia, so don't worry about Rube and me.  We will take a supervisory stance during the construction faze and make sure all the sawdust is swept out before you get here.

Some freshly made taffy will be in a bowl next to my easy chair in the clubhouse the first time I visit, and the saloon girls will dance a special "can can" just for me. My dinner reservations at the private club on park are made, and I'm told I'll be sitting at the President's table while chilled Welch's sparkling grape juice will be awaiting me. They have promised me a special command performance of the old Wally Welch Puppet Show and the Rainmaker and Medicine Show. Oh, by the way, all the others in the 2000 club are welcome to attend the special performance of the boxing show, and to top off the day, a visit to the back lot to see one diving bell that was salvaged when Uncle Rube closed shop!

Do you make Caramel and Kettle Corn as well? I have the molasses for the caramel corn in the root cellar you can use in case I am out checking the still when you get ready to make some!
